Tbh, I'm no big fan of the idea. It's just a derivation from the 'posed and edited pics' style of presentation of nifskope models, only slapped onto real life photos instead of game environment. It'll always be visible when the animal was edited in and I'll be brutlaly honest, I prefer real life zoo pictures to edited pics. :P To me, nifskope animals belong in games, not real world. And this topic doesn't actually fit the "Ingame Photography" section, since the animals and environments aren't originating from the zt2, but from nifskope and real life respectively. The smilodon attempt is a formidable one nontheless. Some more work on the shading and animal's outline could make it slightly more believeable.;)

I'm impressed with the smilodon, it seems almost real and shows how much you've improved your skills with photo manipulation in a really short time.

I personally think that this is something different than posed ingame photos, on ingame photography you have the environment, the light and atmosphere yet done and ready to use, the animal will always be integrated on the photo (better or worse, but always integrated), but this way to do the things requires lots of work, not only to make the animal credible, also the enviorment and his integration on it. On general design know how to photo manipulate correctly is an important and very usefull technique, and you are walking the first steps to get it. Give more attention on lights and shadows and try to play with PS and his possibilities to add them on the animals too, good work. :)
