Believe it or not but I was afraid of dead animals in early childhood, be it naked ape skeletons or dried stag beetles. Now I love both.

Dead animals can certainly teach us a lot about their anatomy and internal workings, but TBH I prefer them alive.

I don't approve vivisections. ;)

Thank you for the set, Azrael!

Yeah, no. Alive and not being chopped apart. ;)

Woof Woof! I always wondered what the inside of a dog looked like xD

Should I do any bugs? (Mealworm, tropical banded cricket, or perhaps an unlucky hornworm)?

Those bugs, except the hornworm, are too small for the anatomy details to be viewed (and photographed) clearly without magnifying glass.
Use lobster or crab (since crustaceans are 'bugs' too) or go to Texas and catch an Elephant beetle.

Ill stick with the hornworm then, all I need is some tools and a freezer :P

Could you possibly put the dog pics under a spoiler? I can handle looking at almost any other animal that might appear in this thread, but I don't think I could look at a dog. I just love them too much...

You froze your old, dead dog simply to dissect it? Anyone else find that the slighest bit sick and wrong?

While I find it a bit odd and would never do it to my own pets if they died, I won't judge Elephas since he didn't actually harm the dog in any way. In fact, I too have a rather guilty curiosity to see what the inside of a dog looks like. xD

Ummm, it probably was euthanized? And you know people also freeze other animals for dissection, too.

Either that or the dog just died of old age, and Elephas later decided to freeze and dissect it. I find that most likely.

Or it walked into the freezer and he didn't open it again. Nah just kidding. :P

Is it even legal to freeze your dead dog and then slice it open? I'm pretty sure that's a crime here xD But I guess rules are different in Russia, and I'm not going to judge you since it's probably quite interesting to learn about the dogs anatomy. I will just ask you to please put the pictures in a spoiler! :)
