It does not matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.

I believe I need to go to an optician because I think my eyes don't work properly. this is too amazing!!!

The iguana is amazing, and I thought the one in REPTILIA was great. Which reminds me, will this iguana be a remake of the REPTILIA iguana and replace it or will it be a seperate animal.

It replaces the one from Reptilia but stays in the filter, so it's basically a remake, but it also works without reptilia. I've also updated the coastal island as a bonus. ;)

A remake, of both teh iguana and the coastal island, I wonder if you have any future plans to remake some of your other, older projects? Oh and the cactus and Tuatara are great aswell.

Looks great DM!!! Though I'd love to see the South American Megafauna pack remade with a Doedicurus and a Giant sloth it's your choice. Anyways, I can't wait to use this iguana. :D

How about we just let DM do what he wants to do without speculating wildly? :| I don't see the point in asking him to remake something that he probably has no interest in, since he's already said he's not going to be remaking most of his old stuff. Sounds more like a wishlist to me.

Nice Marine Iguana DM. Looking forward to seeing the shelter too, since we really need more realistic ones.

I've written new edits for the nifscripts, first a small patch for my first release. But more importantly, I've included a new feature that projects the vertex normals from the origin. Why, you may ask what these are used for? They influence the shading of objects in games, however blender cannot edit them manually and only calculates them as true normals.

Read this, or just look at the images: http://wiki.polycount.com/VertexNormal

By editing the normals away from the true normal, you can modify the shading. So, and basically what my script does is the same like in "Editing Normals in Modo / Bent Normals from Origin". It makes the normals not point orthogonally from the surface, like usually, but makes them point away from the origin. And the result is just what we want and what BF did for their foliage: it looks like a tree, but shades like a sphere.

Ingame:
1 Edited with the new method, with strong material for proper shading at all daytimes.
2 Unedited from Wild China pack; "old" standard normals, with a weak material to avoid the look of 4
3 BF default model, with strong material: same look as 1
4 "old" standard normals, unedited from Wild China pack, material replaced with the material from 1: shading artifacts

With this in mind, compare those images. 2 changes its color hardly at all, while the others adapt to the environment nicely.

Foliage designers, this will solve ally your shading problems! :D
