@HENDRIX The problem was occurring as soon as I clicked the Import BFB button (it wasn't taking me to the selection window), but a complete uninstall and reinstall of Blender 2.9b and Python 2.6 seems to have fixed it. Or maybe it was v12 of the .bfb toolset that finally did it, the world may never know. :P Oh man, I've been waiting for this program to be created FOREVER. Fantastic work, as usual!

Now, however, upon export, I get this error in the console:

Spoiler: click to toggle
Hmm, strange...
I think it doesn't like the Lamp, I didn't expect anybody to use them, I'll add an exception to ignore them and anything the script is not interested in. ;)

Don't worry, I will, once the pipeline is really set in stone. At the moment, it's not really the case yet, as the last update brought a major usage change ;)

Yep! After some fiddling, I found that specifically lamps and cameras will cause it to come back with a weird error. Not a big deal for people that know how to delete/remove them, I'd imagine. :)

Yeah, anything other than mesh, empty or armature will break the script at the moment, it's an easy fix anyway, I'll write it tomorrow. ;)

BFB Toolset v1.3

Strange objects don't crash it anymore.
UV layer names are reduced to only their index ("0" instead of "UV0").
First version of a capsule creator included, which can be accessed from: Spacebar > Add > Mesh > BFB Capsule Collider. It needs the name of the parent bone, the radius and two vectors. The start can usually be left at 0,0,0, and the end usually only extends in X direction. It's easy to figure out how it works simply by typing different combinations. Oh, and it needs an armature in the scene (preferably only one), otherwise it wont work.

It should still be there, do you have the latest version (1.0)? The Font size option of Windows might be responsible for that, but then really nothing looks like it's supposed to be...

BFB Toolset v1.4:

Just two bugfixes, on export you are notified if your UV layer names don't follow the convention, and more important, bone extra matrices are rebuilt in the beginning of the export now, so it does not crash if a capsule is exported before a mesh.

Some of you might have already seen my new tutorial series, but now the time has come to reveal the inspiration behind it:

Today marks the second anniversary of the passing of legendary ZT1 designer Tasmanian_tiger / Taz.

I still remember getting her thylacine, admiring it in game and wondering how she created it. That was way back, long before I joined the community; maybe in 2005 or 2006, so almost 10 years ago now. I couldn't understand any English back then, so I was just lurking around and looking for downloads. Some time later I figured the thylacine was created using 3D animation, a matter that really fascinated me back then (as you can tell, it still does!) and it was one of the reasons that made me start experimenting with blender. I also started some of my own animal projects for ZT1, of which only a paint-made Diplocaulus was ever finished.
As time passed, I got more interested in ZT2 and got ES & AA shortly before MM was released; by that time I had pretty much abandoned ZT1.

A while ago I stumbled over the community timeline (which is definitely worth a read!) compiled by JVM, where I read about her passing. So I decided to tackle recording and commenting the whole process of creating an animal completely from scratch, as a tribute to Taz, who had done similar monumental breakthroughs in ZT1 designing. I felt the thylacine was best fit for this project since it was her favorite, and it shares her tragic story of being no longer.

In memoriam.

You can still find her personal site here, along with the part dedicated to her ZT1 animals.

Those are excellent tutorials you have on your channel, it's actually my first time viewing them. I remember downloading Taz's thylacine a few years ago, but had no idea she had passed away. The idea of choosing her favorite animal for the tutorials is a wonderful way to honor her memory, and it looks to be turning out quite amazing :)

I was wondering if you were going to anounce the thylacine. Good to know that it is going to be released. I've been watching your tutorials (or at least most of them since the animation stuff still sound and looks like chinese to me xD)

Is nice gesture of you to dedicate the animal to this designer.

Great tutorial and fantastic memorial to this designer. I used her Thylacine when I was still into ZT2 and it was one of my favorite ZT1 designs. I had no idea she died. May her soul rest in peace.

I didn't know she passed away either :'( R.I.P Tasmanian_tiger / Taz

Great memorial to her HENDRIX, the thylacine is also my favourite extinct animal.

Ok, I was actually holding back my emotions last post, but now I'm going to go ahead and let them out. I'll also admit that the tassie tiger is one of my favorite animals (tied with cervids and dinosaurs), so when I saw your progress in the tutorial videos, I was totally awe-struck (I actually kind of went bonkers). While the animal does have a few remakes here in the community, and they're all very well-made, they just don't nail the animal that I see in existing photos and video (I'm creatively criticizing here). And it's a hard animal to make; they're not canids, even though they fill(ed) the same ecological niche. They're totally unlike any animal alive today, in terms of appearance. So it is (to me at least) a difficult animal to make a life-like reproduction of. What I saw in your tutorial videos completely blew me away, and I can honestly say that I (personally) have never been more excited for an animal in the ZT2 modding community. :)

Yes and BF ruin their take on the Thylacine by recycling the bengal tiger animations, aswell as adding a few extra animations, like gaping, bipedal standing and hopping, but BF still didn't do enough to give this extinct species the justice it deserves, which is exactly what HENDRIX has done hear.
