imaginate make roads under the animal enclosures, or under a lake, passing under a hill, instead of having to flatten the ground, put the roads below ground, something like what is in roller coaster tycoon 3

This is so great, a shark tunnel that looks like it may be functional shark tunnel. But looking at the images, it looks like the area inside the tunnel fills up with water when the tunnel is enclosed inside a tank wall, can this be fixed. |

Does the sea floor have to be ground-level for the tunnel to work? |

The tunnel adapts to the ground like a fence does, but it looks best if the floor is leveled with the tank edge. |

If placed on an elevated path, could this have the potential to create a tunnel that would be completely surrounded by water? |

Well, you'd need a way to put elevated paths underwater too. |

Yeah, the problem is I can't get (elevated) paths underwater. That'd be the optimal solution to the problem, as it would give the guests a path to follow. At the moment, the unfinished version is in my dropbox, I have no idea how to get it work properly. The low fence is apparently not the solution, as the guests disappear from the tunnel if you use it. If you have no fence, they usually turn around and leave through the sides. And the tankwalls in general are hacked so guests and the avatar can pass through... If anybody has another idea for functionality or can get it working properly, any help would really be appreciated. At the moment it's on hold, as I tried everything that came to my mind.

I remember someone got the elevated paths to work underwater (andrew12 maybe?) for their shark tunnel, so it's possible! It was kind of glitchy though, if I remember. My guests always ended up in the tank... |

Couldn't you just add collision data to the tunnel object? Then guests wouldn't be able to walk through it. |

l don't quite know how you did it, but could you have a node path that the guests are coded to follow? Kind of like how you got the WNW porcupine to climb the tree branches. |

I don't think I can just add collisions to the model, because it is a fence and I already set its inherent collision to be passable by guests to keep out the animals. Sure? Would be certainly interesting to locate that!! Might lead to a solution here ![]() The TAP idea would be an option only for a stiff, pre-built tunnel, but it'd certainly work.

I found a way to have paths in tanks a while ago, the only problem is: you can't place them directly in the tank. You have to place the path first and then build the tank around it. The result is the same though ![]() ![]() I tested a path combined with your tunnel ingame and unfortunately the guests still don't see the animals, even when they're on the path... I'm not sure what causes this, but I looked into the coding of my test map and I found this: <areas> <waterBoundary> <BFGTraversableArea version="1" spansComplete="true" hasViewingAreas="false" canInvalidate="true" openToWorld="false" isConnected="false" yStep="1" valid="true" refillBins="false" state="5"> I'm not a 100% sure what this means, but it looks like it's not possible to have a viewing area in a waterBoundary (i.e. the tank) area

Do they follow the path when walking? If so, that'd be great! Could you send me that hack? In some of my tests the guests would view and interact with the animals without paths, just when placed underwater.

Yes. I placed a bench on the other side of the tank, and the guests followed the path through the tank to reach it. I'll send you the hack
