You do realise getting annoyed and angry isn't going to help get your point across? No one is annoyed because you've got a different opinion. It was a mature discussion, but it appears you're getting angry that people are opposed to your view. You're the only person so far to call people idiotic, and other derogatory terms. I think it'd be best for everyone if you just calmed down. Again, why does it matter if he doesn't see feral cats? This "you haven't seen them" argument is going around and around in a loop, and it's frankly quite annoying Also, he was quite right in saying the Stephen Island Wren was made extinct by the intrusion of Humans (and the pests they brought with them) on their habitat.

What does that even mean? Before you tell AVCDPS that he sounds idiotic, actually make sure your own post makes sense first... I can actually vouch for the feral cats in Arizona thing. My family took a vacation to the Grand Canyon several years back, and although there obviously weren't any cats out in the desert, in the areas where there were people, and subsequently idiots who leave food out for their pets, which in turn also attracts rodents, there were plenty of cats. Whether you want to admit it or not, feral cats are a problem pretty much anywhere that there's people. And you're absolutely right, cats don't kill or compete for food with deer and cougars, because do you know what does? Coyotes. The natural predators in the ecosystem. Obviously the coyotes don't wipe out the population or kill off these animals because that is called predator-prey balance, an ecosystem. Tbh, you're being quite rude. I dont see why you needed to start such a flame war about cats and coyotes.. Edited by Admiral General Aladeen, Jun 14 2014, 02:29 PM.

I think he meant that cats only kill birds species, not other kinds of species which is not only false, but incredibly hypocritical so Konner you don't care if birds die off, yet you care if your precious deer do? I wonder why?... oh wait! its because you hunt them isn't it? in other words, if a species isn't useful to you, you hate on it |

you people are as ignorant as you claim us Rednecks to be. This fight is completely stupid and pointless. You guys claim to be the kinder and gentler Zoo Tycoon Site and look is what is going on. You're bashing me and people like myself. We hunt for self preservation, Weather it is Vipers or Ducks we kill to survive and protect ourselves and our families. I admit I'm one of those Bible on the Right hand Rifle on Left hand. But people like you who bash us for being ourselves for being "ignorant" and "ruthless", When in fact your doing the exact same thing, and we have a saying for that. It's call Pot calling the Kettle Black. |

I think it has something to do with the fact that we're all just people acting tough at one another over the internet XD Not to mention that some people are being assholes and taking everything to heart and out of proportion.. Edited by Admiral General Aladeen, Jun 14 2014, 02:35 PM.

@SGD, Foxes are endangered in Indiana, and I thought only cats killed off bird species like some people make it seem here. Now they also kill rodents but don't mention them being killed. @AVCDPS, Haven't you ever heard of other species killing off species? It's not just cats killing off species. @SGD AGAIN, I never said I hated things that weren't any use to me did I? I don't like species that are a threat to me if I go outside at night. @AGA, I'm responsible for the flame war, what about Mibound? She called me a sociopath and this isn't a flame war. There is absolutely no flaming going on, only debating and arguing. I'm being ninja'd Edited by Manakel, Jun 14 2014, 02:37 PM.

I never said i was just cats. I know there are cane toads and rats that are invasive and endanger other species. Why is Easter Island bare? Not just people but also rats. Humans like Zoocrazy said killed off other species too and the reason why there are these invasive species is humans that like to carry them around. |

yah, don't pull that self preservation BS, admit your hunting for sport, I have no problem with that my problem is with liars, even if they lie to themselves foremost ducks are totally attacking you or your family vipers dead corpses somehow have a practical use to your survival? so I'm ignorant and ruthless because I actually take the time and effort to learn about ecology (both my native and foreign ones) so long as you don't start shoving your bible in other peoples faces and use it to justify your actions or condone others do whatever else you like with it Edited by stargatedalek, Jun 14 2014, 02:45 PM.

You thought cats only killed birds? Have you ever seen the cartoon Tom and Jerry? I thought it was a well-known fact cats also hunt rodents. In fact, isnt that the reason we domesticated them in the first place? Species in a healthy ecosystem dont usually kill off other sepcies to extinction. This almost always happens when an species is introduced. Take mongooses being introduced to islands like Hawaii to kill off rodents introduced, but then killing native birds too. If you go stomping in the woods at night while there's predators about, its your own fault if you feel threatened. A coyote has much better night-sight than you, and even though coyotes dont regularly attack people, they still are wild animals. So going in their domain at night is your own problem. And finally, I thought of this as a flame war because you specifically began swearing excessively. Sure MI was told to watch the language too, but this entire "debate" got way out of hand when you flipped out about coyotes killing your cats, itty bitty dog, and free range rabbits. Especially since rabbits are a natural prey item of coyotes, I found it quite mind boggling that you were surprised that a prey animal left outside was hunted. |

Guys, is this really that important? First of all, the passive aggressive attacks are not only blatantly obvious but also unnecessary. Second of all, while trapping isn't humane and I don't support it, complaining and yelling at Konner (and others) won't make people stop using them. Konner is allowed to have his opinion, just as I am, and you are. Is attacking someone because they believe that trapping is okay any better than attacking someone because of any belief? No. Chances are you aren't going to change how they feel or think on the subject and all you're going to do is start a pointless attack like this.

@Konner, I'm honestly thinking you're trolling. First, stop and think if you want to prod me about my "beloved Damn Birds" and any cats that attack them. Because prodding me is not going to help you to get your point across, at most I'll label you as one of those cat owners who happen to be inconsiderate assholes. Cats don't belong in wild. Feral cats are a serious issue. There's no need for pet cats causing trouble as well. |
