The biggest map will be over 300 grids by over 300 grids. And also all enterances will be on the side! But most importantly, due to some file size capacity reasons, the sizes Small, Medium, and Large will NOT be included in this pack! So this pack will contain only the four user made sizes. So instead the other sizes not in the pack will be an add-on to the original download/hack! I'm going to make time to work on it right after I publish this one. Therefore there will not be 98 zoos in this pack but the next one will add up to 98 zoos total! |

The project will be realeased tonight! (This is pacific time). I will have bugs and tips posted. The project will be very huge. The maps will also need to be built in with the hack because of the way they are made! If I do not do this, some features will not be available in the maps. Also, this hack is not compatible with Snoleo's combi patch so get ready when you download the new hack the new hack! |

Sort of. I'm not trying to be better than him or anything but ya for some reasons it does! Also the enterance in Snoleo's placeable enterance patch is not a hack to make the enterance placeable. Really what it is, is a mod that uses the meshes from the original gate. He used his own codenames to make them appear in the buildings tab.......... So what I did what I hacked the codes to make them placeable instead. I also did not make all the food stands into three stands. I kept it the way ZT2 made it. This is so in case someone did not like Snoleo's combi patch for those reasons, they could use this one. But they also have Snoleo's Combi patch to choose from too. So there are more options. Also I did more in this hack than Snoleo did in his combi patch. I tried to make sure I included everything he did. So those who choose this instead aren't missing out on anything the combi patch does. And once you try it if you see anything you don't like please let me make those changes. |

THIS IS A BETA VERSION: the download is available at the bottom of this post but it is EXTREMELY important to READ before you download as you will be using this at YOUR OWN RISK. After finishing the download tonight, I noticed that there were a lot of unexpected bugs in the game. Therefore the final product will not be published tonight but the BETA version will be published. SO what I am releasing right now is a Beta version. Expect a LOT of bugs in this version as it is NOT the final product. Below I will explain bugs that will be fixed in the final and Bugs that can not be fixed and yes there are bugs that cannot be fixed. The hack is not causing bugs at all. I have tested it many times so bugs are only present in the maps part of the download. Bugs (that you will notice) that are fixable (And will be fixed in the final product): - Some maps skirts will not be visible in the Beta. - There may be some more bugs with the maps and please let me know if you see any. Bugs that can not be fixed or may not be fixed due to unknown reasons: - Some maps may link to the wrong map. (This is very important so please let me know if this happens. I might be able to fix it) - Some maps that were supposed to appear in the main menu did not appear and this is completely un-fixable. Whenever I rebuild the project after making changes with some xml's, no changes take place and this is caused by a very unknown reason. - While using a XXL or XXXL map, if you display the map of your zoo on your screen, the game may crash. - If you place too may things on the XXXL maps, your game might crash. These are all the bugs. Also, the larger maps (XXL and XXXL) may not work for everyone. They might crash the game on your computer so be aware that you must have enough ram. Please know that this early BETA release release can only be found in this topic. It is NOT a public domain since it is the BETA version version. Please use at YOUR OWN RISK OF CRASHING THE GAME. (Let me know if you find any bugs. This is one of the reasons I am publishing a BETA. So people can test it out and help improve the mod. The final product will be much better.) I decided to still publish a BETA tonight because first of all I said I would publish it. But because it had bugs, I published this to also help report bugs to help improvement. I hope everyone enjoys it. When I get enough reports, I will start improving those. Download Here: BETA VERSION Feel free to leave comments........... Edited by LC Creations, Oct 21 2015, 12:45 AM.

Two bugs found! A. The XXXL grassland won't load. You mentioned that a few would have this though. B. When you look at recommended fences for an animal, they have none. This is the case for all the animals I looked at. This probably has to do with the conservation fence. |

Only one bug so far. For me,neither the XXL or the XXXL maps work. I haven't tried the XL maps yet. |

To be honest the XL map from M3 were as big as I liked it (but had obvious bugs, like needed considerable RAM to work when played after a time), but your Super Large Map was perfect for me personally because I actually have a Pretty fast computer (slow occasionally, but most likely because many things were going on at that moment), I think the XXL and XXXL maps are probably too big even for the fastest computers, so I personally think that they should be removed from the pack just because of the Functionality of very large maps on the average computer nowadays (the XL map from M3 was already pushing it, and you would essentially need the latest gaming computers to run these maps effectively [I mean no disrespect, but it is your project, so you should decide what to do]). |

I have an MSI gaming laptop that has 12 GB of RAM and other awesome hardware. I got it in June of this year, and it had the second best mobile graphics card at the time of purchase. I can load the XXXL maps, but after about 75 animals the game crashed.. 75 animals isn't that many- I was just on free-form mode putting pairs of animals until it crashed. I got to the bottlenose dolphin and then it crashed. I don't have any additional animals, though I did have Narutoka's shader on. If that's turned off, that MAY make the map usable. Most people have 8 GB, as that's an entry level PC anymore... not sure how that will run an XXXL map. Maybe with a gaming desktop could run them better... But I don't know anyone with a gaming desktop that also plays ZT2. Though, most gamers only have 12-16 GB of RAM. You start getting over that amount and you start getting into computer software programmers that use virtual machines and like... some serious GIS mapping programs. So... those large maps may be a bit... too much for most computers... Also, I found another bug. In the XL grasslands map, the guests spawn in the bottom left corner. I like playing challenge mode, but thankfully that's the corner right next to the entrance. AHH they don't pay an entrance fee either! No money for me! Guess challenge mode isn't an option. The guests are supposed to spawn in the corner due to the hack! They don't spawn at the enterance because I wanted to enable them to spawn without an enterance! Because of this I was already thinking of excluding it from the hack but releasing releasing it with the hack. Meaning, people will be able to choose if they want this in the hack I created or not. For the maps part... I will fix the maps. I have a four gigabyte ram and they run fine on my laptop so I'm scratching my head wondering why their not working if it is not a ram issue? Possibly display? Or what the game can handle not the computer? IDK! I will probly not exclude the XXXL maps from the pack because some people might use them for large spaces but there will be a notice to everyone who downloads this. (I was never planning on not making one). But now I'm actually not sure so I need everyone's opinion on if it should be included. Hopefully I will find about the recommended fences issue. I am a computer programmer and still enjoy designing for ZT2 but when it comes to asking questions about how the game works with the engine and how it runs things I have no idea. I can answer questions about softwares. Anyway, Thanks for your guys help. Keep posting if possible. Thanks..........

Because you're ignoring one thing, being able to load a map and being able to build a functional zoo on it is a major difference. It's easy to load empty maps or maps with barely anything on it, but of course the largest maps will require a significant amount of RAM to load everything on it. Especially as the community has only recently started showing interest in making decently balanced models/skins so things run efficiently. A lot of the things we have ingame now are already at the edge of being reasonable for the game to load; making huge maps won't help ![]() |
