I can see the improvements already, although I do feel some areas could still use a little more work. You see how, in both of Draganzer's pictures, Zilla's neck appears stockier than on your model? It also doesn't have that S-shaped curve like on the model; once you pass the large center spike just above his scapula, the neck curves upward slightly then declines in line to the top of his squarish head. In addition, Zilla's head should be smaller in proportion to his neck, about 50 or 60% of the size you currently have. Another thing, don't be afraid to beef up his chest or limbs just a little bit. But that's just me being extremely nitpicky and looking for accuracy. You still are doing a marvelous job, OP, and I hope this doesn't rub you the wrong way.

for every animal i make i usually put my own "sense of art" in to it and tweak it a little bit (which is why i only do extinct and fiction animal, where there are rooms for creativity), so if you see that it's a bit different from reference pics, that's my signature move . also because of the fact that sometimes the model must be made in certain ways to fit in the nodes set.anyway, the skin is started, here's a WIP:

Looking nice so far! Do you plan to give it the famous Godzilla roar as well? If you are then I'd suggest using the latest one from the 2014 movie as it sounds the best even though the one you're making is Zilla and not Godzilla. |

I hope not. The 2014 godzilla roar is too good for the 1998 zilla. ![]() Anyway, the skin looks quite nice for a wip. |

i have thought about new sounds. i try it out once but it didn't work so i guess i'll seek for help this time, right after i finish the skin. on my last attempt, i cut a roaring sound out of a video and convert it into flv, but it didn't work. the animal still uses it's original sound though i'm pretty sure i replaced the links in the sound files correctly. i wonder if there is anything that must be done to the sound files? |

@the dark phoenix: nah, probably slightly smaller. but scaling is really the easiest part ever, you can just resize it to your liking. i'm not so certain about the coloration. should i make it gray-ish or slightly blue? |

If you're going to any roar, it can only use Zilla's roars. Try searching YouTube for some high quality soundbites of him roaring. This video has a few decent roars. The skin itself is awesome, mate, especially for a WIP. Edited by green light ops, Jul 7 2014, 12:04 PM.

Have you made sure the links in the sound xml file are linked to the correct sound files? Also you might want to check weather the sound files are mono or stereo. It happened to me before, with the ducks I made, I found some decent files, tried them in game, but no sound. It turned out the files were stereo, so I converted them to mono using Audacity & tried again and they worked. |

I like it. My only question, is the jaw supposed to be so square like? I don't know anything about Zilla, I've never watched the movie. |
