You said a skinner? If I can be offered the lay out and a what way to design it(Blue skin, red feathers ect) I can make the picture and send it to you to be made into a DDs file.

Since you are in charge of the ZTV downloads, you already know my work on two quetz skins. I'm not the greatest but if you want something completed at the very least, I would be happy...no, honored to help.

An old pack I coded several (five to seven?) years ago with Black_lemur and Kangorilaphant -- just rediscovered it hiding out on my old hard drive. It's been lost for a few years and I'm re-releasing it at Zoo Tycoon Volcano soon :)

The Kong project is scrapped or suspended. I'll only offer the short explanation that production stalled due to securing a model from a designer who never responded, and I only recently opted to switch to AD's model, by which point I'd mostly lost my enthusiasm for the project. Treebeard released a much better version today, anyhow. I may pick it up again if I ever figure out meshing or become a better skinner.

The Zoopedia, which I'd probably have expanded and touched up one more time:
Quote:

The largest mammal ever recorded by modern science, Megaprimatus kong jacksonii is known from only a single specimen, named King Kong, collected from the largely-unexplored Skull Island in 1933 by filmmaker and naturalist Carl Denham. The nearly thirty-foot primate closely resembled a large gorilla, but is actually believed to have descended from the extinct ape Gigantopithecus. Only a single expedition to the geologically unstable Skull Island was carried out before it was destroyed by tidal waves only a year after it's discovery, but according to this expedition, which recovered fossils of the species. Based on stories from Skull Island natives, fossils, and speculation by experts, the average 'Kong' is believed to have been twenty to thirty feet tall, walked primarily on all fours or it's hind legs, and lived in small family groups, and had a diverse diet of various plants as well as some smaller animals. They often battled for dominance with massive dinosaurs in their natural habitats, and slept in nests. Babies were born with white fur and pink skin that gradually darkened as they grew into adults. The type specimen, Denham's Kong, is believed to have been over eighty years old and the last of the species, meaning it's tragic death in New York City also marked the species' extinction. Any surviving apes likely died in the destruction of their native Skull Island months later.

There have been sightings of similar, even larger creatures on Faro and Mondo Islands in the southern Pacific in the mid-sixties but these are believed to be legends and rumors despite attempts to substantiate them by the United Nations in 1962 and 1967 respectively. According to locals, they prey on large octopus and lizards and myth suggests contact with lightening enhances their abilities greatly.

Misc. Details:
- Babies would have had white skin, like the young Kong seen in Son of Kong (1933)
- There would have been a brown variant inspired by but not solely based on the two Toho Studios versions of the character.
- Fossils, supporting the idea Kong is an extinct species.
