My problem with the Arctic Fox is the same problem I've had with every version of this animal that has been released in recent years: the morphology of the base model and the intended species doesn't quite match. I hate to criticize such things because I am completely incompetent when it comes to creating or editing models, but I feel like someone who does have that skill set could easily make adjustments to the base model (DM's Red Fox, correct?) to make a true Arctic fox model. The skins are pretty good. I think the molting is a fantastic addition. |

I agree with you MiBound, although the only real problem i have with the model is the face, and mostly during winter. But i love the seasonal skin changes and the quality of the skins are really good so i don't feel fine complaining about the fox when it has such cool features (and it comes with a new shelter too). |

Their faces look pretty different, and it may be fur concealing the length of the legs, but I feel like the Arctic fox isn't as lanky as the red fox. I'm not an expert on canine morphology by any stretch of the imagination, so maybe these differences are just in my own head. Anyway, it's a nice project.

Don't worry MiBound, I understand what you mean - I'd say we were mostly limited by wanting to use the same model for winter and summer, so we couldn't get as much accuracy for the winter one. That and neither whalebite nor me are very experienced with meshing, and getting help from an experienced mesher that could make big edits to the model is very hard from my experience. I had some ideas on how to use two different models, but honestly I'm not used to spend so much time working on the same thing and was getting tired and loosing interest fast, even moreso after getting so much criticism (and I don't mean only on this thread), I'm pretty weak-willed. Also had some time issues so had to finish it fast before I no longer had time to work on it. I hope you can still enjoy it even if it's not perfect. As I said, everything is PD so everyone is free to edit the skins & models (and hopefully also release them). |

Idealy i think the fennec fox would work out better, but as i camnot mesh low polh, let alone a mamal, and no beter models exist using that animation set, the red fox is the best we got. Anyway Indonesia and the Philippines is stalled at the moment (The team is much more interested in the Sri Lanka Pack, and I am doing most of my II work on The Greenland/Iceland pack so I am giving you the 3 species yet to be released The Mudskipper Beta by Whalebite   (It will be remade, so do not worry, this version is purely for those interested, it has some bad swimming glitches, and the skin only shows up in low quality, I hope to follow Hendrix's low poly Fish tutorial and make a better looking mudskipper when I have time)credits to Toucan Corp and Hendrix Blue Tree Monitor by ZTFR  Credits to Hendrix False Gharial by Whalebite  Credits to Zerosvalmont and Hendrix Edited by Whalebite, Feb 24 2016, 11:59 AM.
