Could you elaborate on what is weird? Do you not like the markings, the brown-white limits, something else? Ulquiorra is right though

It depends on the game logic you're in. In any other game, a natural reaction to small things/animals is that it shouldn't have too much detail, given that it's so small and would never really get much attention. However, Zoo Tycoon has a dual function. At one hand you use it to build, on the other hand you walk around and take pictures. And then it becomes tricky What do you do when you have a small animal in a zoo, and you're taking pictures ? Right, in 90% of the cases you'll zoom in on it. A once small entity that didn't get much attention during the building process, all of a sudden becomes a centre piece. And then you quite notice the decrease in quality. It all depends on the way you look at it really Given that we have LODS and mipmaps, I don't think it's that bad to give smaller entities a bit more detail so they look good on close-ups, but other people might not agree with that and wouldn't want to bother with that. Anyway, great job at all the animals with seasonal variations, it's nice to see that people are using the newest advancements to good use !

These are three individual variants, once you place an animal it will change yearly among one of these three sets of skins. Also applies to babies born in the zoo. This is the same coding I already used for Ulquiorra's mountain hare.![]() Also a note, I'm thinking of scrapping the fur shedding for this animal (so it will just change skin automatically), because it uses otter animations and there's no logical land animation for it to shed fur (and just standing while fur appears on the ground seems silly too). |

I believe the Stand_Quiver anim would actually be a good fit for what you're trying to achieve. The slight shaking might be a good alternative to "just standing" It doesn't really scratch itself or anything like that, but it shakes its body in a way that could look realistic enough ! Perhaps combined with a Stand_Sneeze it might even look better as it would look like it's shaking its complete body to get rid of the fur.A good tip if you're looking for good anims to use, grab blender and import the model, and simply import the animation after that. That way you can look at the animation in blender, and it gives you an idea of what you can combine to get good effects !

Don't say that, you have improved your skinning a lot. I photosourced two pictures, one for the coloration and a second one for the texture itself, perhaps you could try that in the future ![]()
Hadn't noticed that one, I'll test it out when I can thanks a lot for the suggestion!I thought about that but for some reason I'm having trouble importing nifs into blender (even though I can import bfbs just fine)

I absolutely love the seasonal fur changes. Question though: Is there anyway to code the fur so it could be used as enrichment for other animals? Or at least so it could be recognized by other animals? I think it would a cool concept and would be similar to what zoos do with their animals coats when they shed. |

Nice idea, you may sell furs for money or leave them to rot. |

Never done something like that before but it should be possible I think, though it would require to recode each animal you want to be able to interact with the fur. In any case what kind of animals are you thinking about, and what should they do with the fur? Nesting material or something? |

I think stoats use their preys fur to build their nest (or weasels do i can't remember, maybe both) so that is an idea of how it can be used
