Would it be possible to use the coding of the dynamic signs on the building pieces so that they use the skin of the wall they are placed next to? |

Dynamic signs make the game lag by a huge amount even with just a few on one map, I'd imagine a building made with several roofs using the same coding would litterally kill the game. |

Sorry for going off topic, but this is literally the first thing I've ever heard about that. I'd be rather surprised to see that the coding is a problem, giving that my own ones never had a problem. Please don't spread assumptions like this instead of contacting the designer behind it, it's rather annoying to deal with. Nevertheless I'll investigate it. EDIT: Looks like there was an error on my part in the tutorial, which indeed means that the ones released by other designers were coded incorrectly and caused lag. Next time, feel free to contact me about this

Maybe its the amount of dynamic signs one uses in the game folder. If I install for example all the dynamic sign packs available the files aren´t really small. I use my own dynamic signs and have them attached to the animals. So I only have fitting animals and signs ingame and don´t use all at once. |

Not even sure whether to post these over here or in my exhibits-topic, but since they're showing new stuff, I'll show them over here.![]() ![]() Thanks to Iben's help I've been able to optimize the code a whole lot, which makes reskins of objects both better for the game to handle, and easier for me (and others) to create! In these pictures you see what will probably become the 'default' building set. You will need that building set in order for all future ones to work, as it will have all of the fundementals (the models, mainly) which the others will need to work. The Dark Grey set posted earlier will become a new building set containing the plaster walls, the dark wooden beams, and of course the grey walls and roofs. Sadly this'll mean that if you've already built with these that you'll have to do that again, sorry! It's for the greater good! Please let me know what you think, and if you have any suggestions on textures, styles, or objects I should add, do tell! |

They will stay blacked out, because if they’d be transparent you’d just see the brick wall through them ![]() However, I agree they don't look good, though. I'll have to look around for some better textures, and possible make some more interesting windows. I could add wall pieces with actual windows in them, in that way they would be transparant, but that'd take some work, and would flood the menu even more, whilst we don't have all that many objects to make an interior look good imo. Would it be possible (for you or us) to change the window color? Say if I put a house in a wetland in sunset I might want my windows to look reddish-brown or something |

Probably, but that's way too advanced for me I think haha What I can and will do is add a lot more different windows, with all kinds of different tints. Because after looking at these blacked out ones for way too long they are starting look kinda... sinister. Will have to toy around with windows a little, they are hard to make! Once I have all of the icons ready I'll release stuff again, but making icons is a chore. |
