Everything is looking great you two. Muy bien. ![]() I noticed that the crocs aren't coded to use the new RR biomes, will they be patched when the biomes are released? Just wondering. |

FYI, the St Augustine Alligator Farm in Florida keeps American Alligators and American Crocodiles together. |

@Ituri: already knew thanks
I guess you've visited, I searched for images and videos of this place and at least in feeding shows only you can see alligators, although it is probably true. my opinion as a veterinary technician is that this is not ideal, not only the risk of conflict, also because tolerance to temperature and salinity of the water is not the same in both species, also their tolerance towards humans, is not the same deal with an alligator to deal with a crocodile, ideal in these cases is to create a exhibit divided by a road or something, thus visitors can see both species at a time but do not run unnecessary risks. as a curiosity I will say that there is an aquarium in Asia (I forget the name) containing a hammerhead shark, a oceanic white tip shark, a tiger shark and not remember more, in the same aquarium, Is this possible? of course, is it Right? I do not think so, and I think that the person in charge of cleaning the aquarium will be agree with me ![]() in some case even theoretically peaceful animals, bad things happen, in Valencia (Spain) there is a large aquarium called "L'Oceanografic" there is a aquarium in which are housed gray reef shark, Sand tiger shark and common smooth-hound sharks, usually nothing bad happens, but when I took a course management and maintenance of sharks there, they showed me pictures of attacks among them and the other fish, and i can say that are not isolated incidents. My recommendation, as with any predatory animal, is to have an installation for each species, Do you give a lion and a hyena in the same enclosure? or a lion and a cheetah? they live in the same area and are not usual prey but it is not appropriate. what happens is that for reasons of space or entertaining some zoos mixed species, but any professional will tell you that is not the most advisable In these cases, One thing to keep sliders (if one is accidentally killed is not a problem) and another very different thing is put two species in critical status together

I agree with you zeros. While it can be done, it may not be the best for the animals, predatory animals (and even herbivores) will fight amongest one another, I don't think it's necessarily right to add a different species as well where animals might harm one another. And thank you, both of you for all of the wonderful crocodilians! |

I think I saw a photo of a Gharial with a Muntjac I can't remember... I guess the Gharial would be ok but as Zero's and Kohana said I don't think it would be a good Idea to add other animals in other crocodilian exhibits. Anyway love the Broad Snouted Caiman! My Favourite so far! |

as I see it is not clear what kind of installations are appropriate and which are not, I show some ultramodern scientific graphics:![]()

, It is like any other species, in fact there are cases where even interbreed them creating hybrids, but like any other species if they coincide in one place can generate conflicting, and in any case, crocodiles and hippos live together in freedom, which does not mean they do not fight each other, for that reason I do not think you can see them together in any zoo
