Curating mineral collection of a museum maybe i rally don't know what im doing with my life or what I want to do though and I fear its too late to change that, what a goosed up educational system where I am condemned to a certain fate at only 19... weird existential crisis~ I've been considering working with vertebrate zoology in a museum too (umbrella term for herpetology/mammalogy in museums from VZ)... or maybe ichtyology or ornithology (oddly enough these two are usually separate deparments)? Entomology? hmmm Edited by into the dextroverse, Dec 22 2014, 07:23 PM.

Im surprised but at the same time not surprised, that i havent seen anyone mention Vets. I want to become a Vet tech, and hopefully one day be able to create programs enhancing animals lives, which ever that may be. Every since i was 5 i wanted to become a doctor for animals, so i decided on being a Vet, but i job shadowed one at anear by animal hospital and realized i rather be a Vet tech, as it seems to be more hands on, and less "bloody" ( i can handle poop and some blood, but performing a complete surgery and blood constantly coming out, makes my head spin after a while) I now volunteer at a wild life center, assisting their vet tech in daily tasks, and i LOVE it. Im now enrolled at Hickey College for the Vet Tech institue, and can not wait to start! I hear the pay is pretty low for the type of job but i honestly could care less, as long as i can pay rent and get fast food, and work with animals on daily biases, im in heaven baby! |

I want to become a known zoologist/paleontologist finding out and relating behavior to prehistoric and modern animals, or become a skilled zoo keeper (having around 50 pets in 12 years living healthy and happy is no small feat). I would probably try to get a major in both architecture and zoologist for everything . While I'm working and after I'm retired, I will become a breeder for Arabian oryxes and other species of rare ugulates and reptiles (I have my resources ).

When I was younger I absolutely loved paleontology, especially mammal paleontology. Over time the interest changed a bit and I became fascinated with human evolution and extinct hominids and I think around age 10 I decided I wanted to work in a museum and specialize in paleoanthropology. Well here I am at age 20 taking anthro classes and absolutely loving them and working for the education department of one of the best museums in the US. I'm planning on reaching out to some of our anthropologists at the Field Museum to see if I can get an internship and I'd like to go on some archaeological trips in the near future. So yeah, hopefully I'll be able to make this happen
