I am currently looking for a reliable reptile breeder and I came across this site, is it any good or is it overrated crap, looking for Peacock Day Gecko.

What state do you live in. A breeder works at the Kaiser in my neighborhood. I'm pretty sure he breeds peacock day geckos.

Hey, I buy most of my animals from underground! They are pretty good people.

Sorry if that sounded creepy. It wasn't meant to be.

Underground is pretty good.

You're gonna want to go with a site that has a live arrival guarantee, good reviews, and friendly service. I've never bought anything from Underground but they have good reviews and service and I believe they have a guarantee.

Other sites like Backwater tend to screw up orders from my experience. Your best bet is with a site that will replace your order at no cost if something goes wrong in the shipping.

Underground is garbage. I've been to the store, order animals, and know the owner/employees. They're terrible. Buy from an actual breeder.

Perhaps you should tell us why, because I have the exact opposite experience with them...

Firstly, the owner is an "ex" smuggler, who claims to have found "Jesus". So now he has other people do it for them.

Second, the conditions the animals come in are horrid and the store is no different. I could literally see the mites crawling on their snakes. They had an adult radiated tortoise inside a vision cage in which it could hardly move because the top of it's shell was hitting the ceiling of the cage. Among many many other things.

Skip to 1:30 if you want to see a him pick up a dead box turtle and act like it never happened.

He's also known or ripping people off.

There are many more examples then these two.

I see, interesting. I had no problem with them though? They changed owner though, perhaps that is why?

EDIT: Oh wait, I don't order from online, so perhaps they had to be honest with me, as I was there. The exhibits are not too bad either, not the greatest though. I see improvement.

They don't have a new owner. It's Ryan, the same guy it has always been.

Well, I had good experiences with them. And they must have changed some things for the better, because every time I visit that place, I don't see mite problems, or overly-small exhibits, what I see mostly is over-crowded tanks. Though I don't condone the online scamming, taking advantage that you don't see the person/animal face-to-face. That dead turtle (and the skull) was really careless and sad, my perception of underground has really changed. I was slowly switching my self to Ben Siegel Reptiles anyway... (Better gecko/dumpy breeding stock)

Pull my finger!

It seems this place is safe to ask, I'm not gonna buy anymore animals ATM but are First Choice Reptiles recommended, or are they like Backwater?

Well they have a guarantee so at least if there's an honest accident you're covered.
