Rat snake is love... Rat snake is life

I see that you have a beauty rat snake.

I really love to have this colubrid someday, so is it really that aggressive or flightly as its reputation goes?

He is but it's still young, around 2 feet or so. So that should even out once he's a bit bigger.

By any chance you got the Beauty Rat Snake from Ben?

I love your Malagasy Leaf Nose Snake, very unique.

No I purchased him from a local store.

The leaf nose is one of my favorites but a huge PITA to care for

What makes it difficult?

They're difficult to care for. They only eat lizards ( a problem in Pennsylvania) and they need to eat often. They also dehydrate extremely quickly and need to be misted 3 times a day.

The humidity I can handle, but they only eat lizards?! Not even tree frogs, only lizards? Wow, very specialized, how do you handle that situation?

This reminds me of the baby whipsnake I kept last month, it had the same problem.

It's not humidity. They just need to be sprayed that often so they drink. Otherwise I keep mine fairly dry.

I have lizards shipped to me from FL

Oh, have you tried adding a dripper, like a chameleon? Also, who is your supplier?

Just a friend, and yes, but he doesn't take as much interest in it as he does when I spray him. I'm planning on putting a pump in his water bowl and then running the tube up to the top of the tank, and making it spill down some fake plants/branches.

Beware of Crapstel's Curse!

Good luck with that!

I had some convincing to do myself at first, but only a few weeks later everyone had already fallen in love with my girl and you know, now there are four xD
