Are you sure it's from Argentina ?
Because it looks totally like a Tarentola mauritanica which I see here too often.

They have a few, but they are not endemic to the area, as far as I know.

Yes, definitely a Tarentola species, and presumably T. mauritanica, judging from the white pattern on the back.

Thank you very much! Are these a good species to keep? (This is not my picture, I am helping someone out. This question is more for me)

I've kept T. mauritanica and T. annularis. T. mauritanica is quite shy, while the largest T. annularis was even aggressive. They don't like being picked up and hiss and try to bite. They're nowhere as nice as leopard geckos, for example.

So just an exhibit gecko? what kind of environment they live in?

Here they are usually found in urban areas, I think I've never seen one truly in the wild.
Having kept some too, I confirm what DM said about their behaviour.
I'd say it needs several places to hide, given it's very shy and nocturnal, and of course a secure lid, as they can climb on glass and escape from very thin openings. They love to hide under shingles, pieces of plant pot and stuff like that.
I've seen the wild ones catching moths, and I know crickets and grasshoppers are taken too.

^If it's from a zoo, it's most likely a mix. Because we don't know the size either, it's pretty hard. It's not an Amur tiger, and it's very unlikely to be a South China tiger, because that one's incredibly rare. Sumatran tigers have more stripes, so we can rule that one out too. I'd go for a Bengal tiger because those are the most common species. If you know it's not a Bengal tiger, you can pretty much choose Malayan or Indochinese, those are pretty much the same.
