Snowy owls and a seal species? Or seals and birds generally?

I've heard that some okapis in Frane live in a aviary together with some some african bird species, I'm not sure but I thought also monkeys.
Grey seals can be dangeroux (sometimes they eat harbour seals), so I don't think that would be a good idea. In the nature fur seals live together with some penguin species, the seals don't eat the penguins so I belive this could operate, if the penguins have a area to escape from the seals. On the breeding sesion they need to be separeted, but don't need much space (they breed better in small enclosures). I'm pretty sure that harbour seals can be combined in a aviary with some costal birds.

Would these combos work?

1. Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Edmontonia, Edmontosaurus

2. Antarctopelta, Trinisaura

3. Baryonyx, Iguanodon

4. Onchopristis, Mawsoia, Lepidotes, Laganosuchus

5. Dongbeititan,Yutyrannus

1 - too many big animals in the same exhibit IMO, especially considering at least one might have been quite aggressive
2 - it should be fine
3 - keep the croc out
4 - Nope

Generally pinnepeds (especially sea lions and fur seals) are predatory towards almost anything in their exhibit. However, I've seen a Pacific Harbour Seal - California Sea Lion - California Brown Pelican combination, so these things do work. I wouldn't use Snowy Owls though, they're simply too not-aquatic and aren't that volant, so wouldn't be the best way to show off the species. What may work is a Gyrfalcon - seal combo, so long as there weren't too many seals and lots of space for the falcons to fly.

(p.s. wherever sea lions/fur seals and penguins coexist there is a predator-prey relationship. Mostly young male fur seals/sea lions killing them for fun, but still)

Like most hoofstock, lots of other hoofstock and birds. At SDZSP they're kept with Bongo, Red Lechwe, and West African Crowned Cranes :)

@arafan: I did a google search and found this: http://www.bioparc-zoo.fr/en/our-animals/exhibits/le-sanctuaire-des-okapis
But that's more a giant aviary, of which a small part is okapi-enclosure. Nevertheless, it is possible indeed.

@FP: That's an interesting combo, indeed. I think I'll go with pelicans though, that's a little less risky. And perhaps penguins could work with seals if you pick a small species of seal and a large species of penguin (emperor or king penguin?. Ross or Crabeater seals maybe, but I don't know whether those are kept in captivity

Ooh Ross or Crabeaters and Emperors/Kings could probably work! Crabeaters are rather snappy, but I don't think would actually attack the penguins since they don't have the "equipment" for it.

(and yeah, neither seal is kept in captivity)

I'm wondering, would it be possible to combine them with a monkey? I've never seen it done, so I suppose not but I'm curious what you guys think of it. I think small, arboreal species (crested mangabeys for example) should work.

Doue la Fontaine (or however those French people spell it) has kept okapis in a massive walkthrough (as in a bridge through thr aviary with the okapis housed on the bottom) alongside tons of birds (ranging from storks to turacos), owl-faced guenons (and perhaps another monkey, not sure) and duikers. It seems to work.

Never mind, you figured that out already.

This is kinda cool though^

Stephen, Singapore Zoo used to have an exhibit with Californian Sea Lions, African Penguins, Pelicans, and Manatee. I think you're fine ;) Just make sure the Penguins/Pelicans have a separate area the Seals can't reach.

^Woah, penguins with sea lions? Cool!

I was wondering, would anything be combinable with eagles? Large hoofstock maybe? Zebras/large antelopes with a small-medium bird of prey or vultures?

Perhaps a large tortoise ?

Eagles are quite territorial. Better left them alone or with small passerine birds (if they have plenty of cover).
