Marabou Storks can fly, so I would put them in an aviary (with vultures for example).

But Ostrich and Guineafowl together works and I think in an aviary Grey-crowned Cranes and Shoebills can work as well (maybe with herons as well).

The Saint Louis Zoo has a marabou in an open outdoor enclosure in the red rocks area. Presumably it's just a matter of keeping the wings clipped. Ditto on crowned cranes, which are kept in another outdoor enclosure in the same area.

Yeah if you clipp their wings it won't be a problem, but that is getting illegal in the EU in 2018 I believe, so if you live in the EU and want to follow the rules I suggest building an aviary, else an open exhibit will work fine ;) Cranes are kept often here in the Netherlands in open exhibits.

Can Nile Crocodiles be housed with anything besides small fish?

I was thinking hippos but they're too territorial and I wouldn't want a croc to get mauled by an angry hippo. I was also thinking shoebills but they would prey on the young crocs...

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

Pinioning is also a more humane option, since it doesn't require recapture of the bird for repeated procedures.

Small correction here - pinioning will be illegal in the EU from 2018 onward, clipping is still allowed (as far as I know). It's true that clipping is a much more strenuous procedure in the long run as the bird has to be recaptured every year, so most zoos are opting to net over their birds instead.

Well, I'm stateside, so the upcoming EU regulation change isn't something I was aware of. Thanks for the info on pinioning, though, I didn't know there was a permanent process. Considering the high standards of care at the St. Louis zoo, their marabou stork is probably pinioned. Back on topic, are there any other birds that could be kept with a secretary bird? Either in an aviary or an open exhibit.

I've seen secretary birds with saddle-billed stork before.

I know it's off-topic:
In Germany however, pinioning is already illegal for quite a few years (if not decades) and clipping wings will be illegal here, too, but the different federal states can decide about the point of time of introducing the ban.
Maybe other countries have similar plans.

In addition, especially marabou storks often only breed when they still can fly, same counts for other storks.
So, I suggest keeping them in aviaries.

Hi everybody
What you think of birds that will be a good combo for a exhibit with geoffrey's marmosets?
Thanks :)

Can you keep Olive Baboons in an exhibit with Ostriches and large Hoofstock, like Wildebeest and Giraffes?

@pokeruto I have visited Heidelberg Zoo and I believe they keep this species in a mixed aviary with Red-shouldered Teal, Red-crowned Amazon and Grey-winged Trumpeter amongst others.
