I've got a few combinations I was wondering about:

Could Darwin's Rhea and Central American Agouti live together?

I'd like to combine Southern Ground Hornbill and Shoebill with some species, out of these species what would they get along best with:
- Northern White Rhino
- Scimitar Horned Oryx
- Somali Wild Ass
- Addax
- West African Giraffe
- Mhorr Gazelle

1. That's fine. Just give the agoutis some stuff to hide in/under if they get stressed.
2. I'd say the giraffe, then the gazelle, then the rhino, then the addax and the Oryx. I personally wouldn't combine them with somalian wild ass's just because horses can get pretty aggressive. Also if this is supposed to be a mixed species exhibit with all the hoofstock listed together, then I'd probably just combine two species at a time along with the birds. Especially with the rhino, because it should be the main attraction.

There's a petting zoo near me that combines Eland with Emus with no problems so I'm assuming you should be good.

Red stags are indeed aggressive during rut season, so you should keep that into account.

Could I mix several pinnipeds in a large enough enclosure ? I had in mind mixing two or three species of otarids and a walrus.

From what I've read walruses will do ok with sea lions although not so much seals. Probably because sea lions are more aggressive in nature, are bigger, and more mobile. It's recommended though that walruses live in same-species groups.

If you need seals I would recommend doing a rotating exhibit.

History is indeed little more than the register of the crimes, follies, and misfortunes of mankind.

Well I would like to know if I could mix Indian muntjac with Nilgai?

IDK I have seen Harbour Seal + Walrus, so I definitely think it comes down to individuals. I wouldn't make it more than just a few of each species, if not individuals. I doubt they would breed at any point, especially if relying on multiple species of otariids, idk why would you would do that anyway.

Well the idea I had in mind didn't include breeding, I was thinking more in a few bachelor males, say 2 or 3 of each species of eared seals and 1 walrus. The idea came to me when I saw an old picture of a zoo in germany (I can't recall the name) that showed a walrus with fur seals and sea lions. But knowing how much animal husbandry has changed over the last few decades, I didn' know if it would still work.

Ehhhh 1 walrus is just a sad idea, they are incredibly social animals that do best in pairs or more.

Marine mammals in general are not my forte, except for for some species of eared and earless seals. In the case of the other pinnipeds I just know the basics, I could have sworn that males were solitary except during breeding season. But in that case I will reconsider the project.

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

Marineland in Ontario has more or less that exact combination, although I think they all have separate off-display areas.

If you really want to combine pinnipeds, I would put harbor seal together with sea lion and keep the walrus separated.
Walrus lives in way colder climates then the other two, and seals + sea lions works fine as long as you feed them separately ;)
