I wouldn't be careful with 1, I just wouldn't do it. Warthogs are very aggressive, and, well, Aardvarks are very docile. For animals of the same size that tends not to work out. On top of that, Aardvarks are basically exclusively nocturnal, while Warthogs in captivity tend to be more day-active, so a mixed exhibit just wouldn't really work. |

Not 100 percent certain but Cape Buffalo and Waterbuck would work right |

If there is enough space, then yes. I'd also add an area where the waterbuck can get away. And if you want to have less interaction between the two species to prevent any rare skirmish, then have double of almost everything in the exhibit (except for the animals themselves of course). |

I know the crocodiles would stay right away from the hippo's but would a big African hippo and croc lake work? I could kind of split it op with a feint ditch or rise in water levels but what do you think? |

Nope, hippos are just evil. Keep the crocs away from them. |

If there's a ditch between the 2 exhibits that effectively keeps the animals inside their own exhibit, why are you even asking if it is possible here at all? Why wouldn't it be? |

What european animal could I combine with porcupines ? I was thinking common cranes, but on second thought they aren't exactly found in the same environment here ... |

I belive you are talking about the european porcupine? What about genetts? I don't belive that they would have respect of the porcupine, but don't forget to put in enough things to climb. |

Yep, European Porcupine. Genets wouldn't work tho, since this zoo focuses on Italian animals and genets aren't found here. The closest thing to them would be a marten, but I fear they could be too aggressive, and I might add a separate exhibit for them anyway ... |

Yes but not from the areas I'm working on (and it's introduced anyway). EDIT: if it's the same population I've heard of, it's also extinct. Edited by Furka, Apr 19 2015, 10:35 AM.

If it's in an aviary, any endemic bird could work. Otherwise, how about Western Hermann's Tortoise? A bit more coastal, but Tortoises/Porcupines is a common, yet very interesting combination. |
