Well, domestic rabbits aren't too difficult usually and may be kept with other animals in the same size range (or slightly smaller) such as guinea pigs or chickens.
Wild rabbits/hares on the other hand tend to be rather stress-prone and are easily startled, so I wouldn't recommend mixing them, at least not with anything larger than they are. Smaller birds could work, though.
Hares could go with pheasants or roe deer if there's enough space, I've seen that.

I wouldn't, I doubt the otters would actually like hurt the tapirs but especially when in the water I don't think it's a good idea.

I was thinking of an exhibit of a Brazilian Porcupine, Cotton-Top Tamarins and a Three Banded Armadillo, but create a fence in the exhibit seperating them. I will use it in my Animal House, located in my Children's Zoo :)

Thank you for your help on the rabbits. I think I will go with the small roe deer.

This should work, I've see Golden Lion Tamarins with Three Banded Armadillo, and Cottontops with Brazilian Porc, hahaha.

I've also seen online of sloths, saki, tamarin and agoutis together :)

Some institutions add red footed tortoises and iguanas to the mix, though I'm not frankly sure if an iguana would be happy with some bothersome monkeys xD

Your benevolent ruler

My local zoo has white faced saki and Green Iguana exhibited together and there have never been any problems ;). Now that I think about it they also exhibit green iguana and I think Geoffrey's Tamarin as well.

For those who want to be willing to add more adventure into the world of combining species, here's a penguin-giraffe enclosure that hopefully will inspire those (Ostrich and crowned cranes also share the enclosure. According to the site, there's secretary birds as well. This enclosure is from Ohama's Henry Doorly Zoo).

Penguins and giraffes? really? (Because Giraffes lives in the savannah, not the beach)

That's why it's an interesting combination.

Negative. An interesting combination is like the Orangutan/Tapir combination a few pages back. Species that (historically) encounter each other in the wild, but you'd never really consider putting together in a zoo because they're so different. Giraffes and Penguins is just a stupid combination, because they just would never meet.

That is true.

It's interesting though in the fact that very few other zoos utilize this combination, however.

I have never seen secretary birds in there, throughout the 6 times I've been. But the giraffe barn has the penguin holding inside it also. The exhibits open but terrible. I can't wait until they tear it down for the master plan. They even once had a honey badger next to the penguins in the barn.

I have another question :D
I am planning an african rainforest area and I wondered which terrestrial species can share enclosures with red river hogs and dwarf crocodiles. For swines in particular I remember accidents occurring in the USA..
