I would say no to that one. Elephants just seem a little to big for cheetahs and they are easily spooked. Rhinos are ok however. |

I can't say. I truly don't know how the elephants would react with Cheetah... don't think I've seen them ever interact. I'm with Burns, I really really doubt it's a good idea, especially when young of either species is considered. You could always Hagenbeck them. |

Therefore we don't know if it works or not. You can't really predict the behaviours of animals especially around other animals. |

Last time I have been at Genova's aquarium I found out that they added a Boa constrictor in their Cetral American rainforest exhibit. The same one also houses Green Iguana, Basilisk, Mata-Mata, Scorpion Mud Turtle and large cichlids (probably redhead).![]() ![]() I didn't know snakes could be combined with other animals like that (minus some fish), so does anyone know about more combination of snakes with something else ? I have seen Emerald Tree Boa With poison frogs, tree frogs, anoles And geckos at the Montréal Biodome. But this boa species mainly eat birds i think. Anyway, it was an awesome display with lot of foliages (including orchids an mosses). And, according to the keeper, it worked well. |

I guess small fish. They really shouldn't be kept in captivity though, |

Actually, if you'd add anything, I think it's better to add large fish - ocean sunfish, sharks, tuna, marlins, perhaps even marine sturgeons (white/European) since they prey on smaller fish (wikipedia says up to salmon-size). Another option would be other cetaceans (hard, but possible nevertheless), like bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises, Pacific white-sided dolphins or pilot whales. I agree with Burns though - aside from rescue operations, whales should not be kept. |

I know from Hamburg (Hagenbeck, but not Hagenbeck-style-exhibits) from two combination of snakes: 1. Phyton and different Anaconda-species, all in similar size with small fishes (up to 10cm), sorry but I don't know their species and a turtle (I can't find any pics, I may make some next time I will visit the zoo and have a look on the species list xD). 2. Gaboon-Viper and Green Mamba. |

I'd avoid the marlins, the problem with billfish is that they swim fast and can't turn well and they might end up impaled on a cetacean (IIRC it also happens in the wild). |

I need some inspiration. I know African ungulates can more or less be mixed with each others, but if you had to pick the best combo for : - Roan Antelope ; - Sitatunga ; What would you suggest? Take note I mean one exhibit with the Roan and something else in it and one with Sitatunga and something else in it. Something can be ungulates, small mammals, birds, etc. It can be more than one species. Thank you!

Burgers' Zoo in the Netherlands has a big safari exhibit with Roan Antelopes, White Rhino's, Zebra's, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffes, Kudu's, Waterbucks, Dik-diks and Hartebeest (at least at one point, not sure what the exact combination is ATM), so I guess a lot is possible for this one. I have seen Sitatunga's combined with both Hippo species, Lechwe, Greater-Crowned Cranes, White Stork, and different types of duck. |
