... The Corsac Fox most certainly DOES live in deserts, but Red Fox is a viable choice too. |

I wouldn't put anything in with gobi bears. They are already rare why risk having one of them get a disease from another animal. |

If disease is really the thing you're worried about, then you could be saying none of the combinations in this topic ever would work out. Usually a zoo's intention is for the animals not to get sick, combined or not, and if they do there's this thing called quarantine. Bears and foxes go well together and are some of the few carnivores that can, so I'd say go for it. Edited by Anton, Oct 9 2015, 01:33 PM.

They live and breed in much the same area and in general hippos care very little about birds, while shoebills are big enough to not get accidentally trampled by one. The shoebills might be slightly wary but not enough to cause any significant stress, so I wouldn't see why not. |

I would make an area for the shoebills to get away from the hippos though. That way they don't become stressed. |

I would take the aracari out or only have 1 in there. Tamarins eat bird eggs. |

You can do that one. A zoo in real life also added rheas to that mix. ![]() If you want you could also add a few bird species in like andean goose or white faced whistling duck This link shows pictures of the other combination. http://www.zoochat.com/314/south-american-pampas-multi-acre-mixed-183122/ |
