Swans and other waterfowl (Fulvous Whistlers, White-faced Whistlers for example), Cock-of-the-Rock and other obscurities, passerines, macaws, there's all kinds of stuff. For non-bird animals they also work with Southern Pudu

What do you guys think about American beavers and European otters in the same enclosure?

I wouldn't put them together, otters can be nasty and bully the younger beavers or compete over burrows and such. The next zoo I'm working on is going to have both in a lake, but separated by a glass wall, so it looks like they are in the same exhibit, you couldprobably try that too. |

American otters are actually known to eat beaver, so I would definitely say no. |

Well, asian otters have been kept with tapirs and rhinos (maybe water buffalo too) IIRC. And primates too, but that's more risky. |

And I even know about a combination of giant otters with silvery marmosets and white-faced sakis. So some arboreal animals could be an option.

1. Can I mix Belugas and puffins? 2. Can I mix anything with caribou? |

Musk Ox could work with caribou as long as both species had separate pens that could be closed off to prevent attacks by angry bulls or mothers. Honestly I haven't seen much with caribou. As for belugas, puffins live a little to south to work with belugas. However I do know that sometimes the Shedd Aquarium lets their belugas and Pacific white sided dolphins interact with good results. Honestly takes a very, very large tank. What other reptiles or birds could I keep in an outdoor sulcata tortoise pen? Edited by Paleodude, Dec 5 2015, 06:37 PM.

There's a video somewhere on the Internet where some Asian small-clawed otters at the Bronx (I think) were dragging a Javan langur (I think) down in the water to its death. @Krampus You could literally add a lot of animals with sulcatas, as long as they don't pose a threat. You could add a lot of smaller birds, such as ground doves or gamefowl (pheasants and such), even could do ostrich providing you suit both species' needs (pretty easy, both live in similar habitats). Reptile-wise, any non-aggressive lizard should suffice. I saw a pet store keep a bearded dragon together with 2 sulcatas, and they get along quite well, minding their own business. |

Spoiler: click to toggle Also yeah you can keep a whole lot of things with sulcatas. Small birds or something would be nice and interesting if the enclosure had a roof on it. Edited by Admiral General Aladeen, Dec 5 2015, 10:59 PM.
