Oh also, I'd watch out combining flamingoes. I know hybridising occured among Cuban/Carribean and Chilean specimens. A local bird centre (which closed and ended up becoming a shitty zoo, but hey that's a different story) used to house "Chicubas". They were rejected by breeders and zoos because of the fact they were not a pure species and were offered a home at the bird park.

I'm not as familiar with Andean and James' flamingoes though (they are very rare in captivity) so I don't know if they would hybridise (I am quite confident they are capable of it though). Just figured I should tell.

To the musk ox/reindeer combo:
Isn't there any zoo which have them together? (@arafan: Bern?) I think I've heard about this before.

As I know in Berlin James and Andean flamingoes were keeping together (you know they breed better in bigger groups how penguins) in a aviary, they also breed but I haven't hear that they hybirdise.

Lynx: No Bern keep them in different exhibits, but I also think that I once heard something abour a combination betwen reindeers and a moose.

So I just built an exhibit for Bornean Orangutans. When I finished I noticed that there is some open space on the bottom of the exhibit. I;m making a bornean themed exhibit so is there any species that fits this criteria.

Native in Borneo
Ground Dwelling
Docile
Small to Medium Sized

Small clawed otters have been kept together with orang utans in some German zoo I think.

Other than that I'm not sure tbh.

What about a Sunda Pangolin? I'm not sure. If it is scared it will roll up in a ball and the orangutans would throw it I think.

Could mouse deer work or could an aggressive orangutan kill one.

Both pangolins and mouse deers are nocturnal. I doubt they'd be very active when combined in a normal enclosure with orang utans. Next to that, pangolins are hard to keep in captivity, I wouldn't do all kinds of weird combos with them as they're hard enough to keep alive without all that stuff.

Also I doubt orang utans would kill mouse deers. Still don't think that'll work though.

Plus, if you want it to be safe from an aggressive Orang-utan then it'd have to be quite large. Great apes are strong when angry.

@arafan: ok, thank you for the information.
I can confirm that there aren't any hybrids between Andean and James Flamingo in Berlin.
@BBBurns/Jasper: Yes, small-clawed otters and orangutans work and also tapirs and orangutans.

@Stephen: Well an animal that is quite fast and that can easily resort to the water (like otters) or maybe burrows (like some kind of mongoose) it doesn't have to be large. I get what you mean though and I agree.

I think I'll do a Bornean Bearded Pig in with the orangutans.

I wouldn't do it. Both of them are so endangered I wouldn't take the chance that a Panda might kill a monkey or the monkey's give the pandas a disease.

Therizinosaurus and Gallimimus should be fine if you have enough space.
