Not really, perhaps Red Deer or something substantially larger than the boar that won't attack them. Ravens or something would work fine with a roofed enclosure. |

Geographically that exhibit makes 0 sense but overall I don't see why it wouldn't work. |

What type of asian animal would be able to accommodate with Siamangs in and island enclosure surrounded by a moat with lots of climbing structures. |

I wouldn't do mouse deer, because while generally they wouldn't be a great meal, they might play around with one or experiment with using it as food. Not worth the risk for an animal that is very easy to keep in other exhibits. Burgers Zoo keeps their Siamang in a large combined exhibit with Pig-tail macaques, Banteng, Indian hog deer and Eld's deer. I'd go on a stretch and say that any medium/big-sized bovine or deer would work with them, and virtually any sympatric macaque species would too. Otters could probably also be a viable combination, as they're kept with Orangutans without too much of a problem. |

Okay, I'll look into that. As our zoo has enclosures for Asian Small-Clawed Otters (which I just posted a few minutes ago and can be seen here.), Babirusias, Visayan Warty Pigs, and will be constructing a Malayan Tapir enclosure soon, I'm leaning towards something small. Since the enclosure was planned to be made for a large group of siamangs. |

For the Siamang, the Singapore Zoo keeps them with the Lesser Mousedeer, Golden Pheasant, False Gharial, White-Faced Saki Monkey, Green-Winged Macaw and quite recently a troop of Brown Lemurs have been introduced to the exhibit as well. Not to mention other wild animals that wander in like monitor lizards, civets, tree shrews and squirrels. |

Hmmm, those mouse deer can actually enter that exhibit? I thought they were stuck on the "upper right" (the section to your right upon entering the boardwalk) part of the exhibit, where none of the primates/reptiles can reach them? Also, I think there's some kind of turtle with the gharials too, but that doesn't really matter haha. Edited by Anton, Dec 16 2015, 07:50 AM.

From what I remember they actually did have access to the whole exhibit, but now that you mention it a friend of mine that worked there said they fenced in the mousedeer and pheasants because some of the mousedeer actually fled into the nearby forest areas. And the turtle from what I recall was the Fly River Turtle though I could be mistaken. |

Well I'm not sure haha, it's been 7 years since I visited :] Either way, probably going off-topic here, but how come wild animals can enter the exhibit? If a civet can get in, a Saki or Brown lemur would be able to get out... |
