Well, in the wild, that may be the case, indeed. But the wild doesn't exactly have anything to do with captivity. We can't just go out there and capture wild animals anymore, those norms have died out long ago.

In captivity, 99% of sloths are Linnaeus' two-toed, the rest are Hoffmann's two-toed, and there's only a single zoo outside of South-America that keeps Three-toed sloths, being Dallas World Aquarium.

Very similar to say, Bongos or Gorillas in captivity, by the way. Eastern gorillas are far less threatened than Western gorillas in the wild, but besides Antwerp all gorillas in captivity are Western. Exactly the same story with Eastern and Western bongos.

Usually, in recent times animals are only brought in captivity because they're rare. If there's a stable (or somewhat stable) population outside of captivity, we don't have a single reason to disrupt the pattern and take animals away from the wild population.

Planning a mixed region walk through kind of enclosure, would these animals go well together?

Matschie's Tree Kangaroo, Diademed Sifaka, Greater Mousedeer, Kirk's Dik Dik, a Flying Fox species, Rhinoceros Hornbill, Green Headed Tanager, Common Squirrel Monkey, Keel-Billed Toucan, Green Iguana and Red-Foot Tortoise

@Anton - Ah. I assumed that three-toed sloths weren't rare in captivity. xD Would Hoffman's two-toed sloth be a better choice than three-toed sloths then?

Also can Sangai Deer be combined with Malayan Tapirs?

I don't know about the sloth, but I think there's at least one zoo in Italy that keeps both monkeys together.

@Humuhumu : with enough space, deers and tapirs should not be a problem.

@Braviary : I have seen it, just provide enough food stations and nesting boxes for all monkeys.

@Uolym
How about...
Three-Banded Armadillo/Brazilian Porcupine/Two-Toed Sloth/Goeldi's Monkey

Seems fine but the monkeys should have an area to themselves

Or...
Green-Headed Tanager/Blue Pitta/Eurasian Jay/Seven-Coloured Tanager

@Braviary - Why would you do that. Jays eat young birds and eggs all the time so it wouldn't be safe for any chicks or eggs present in the aviary.

Besides the Jay the combo would work but it makes zero geographical sense.

What other African animals would get along with Fennec Foxes?

Examples:
Warthog
Bat-eared Fox
Rock Hyrax
Meerkat
Mongoose
Klipsringer
Porcupine
Aardvark
Aardwolf

And would several Lemur species get along? Mainly Ruffed, Ring-tailed, and Sifakas.

Pull my finger!

Not sure bout sifakas but ring-tailed lemurs and ruffed lemurs have been kept together in multiple facilities with success. :)

Yes Ring tailed and ruffed lemurs have been kept with eachother.

Sifakas on the other hand really don't need a mixed species exhibit. They are cool enough as it is and they would probably fight with the ring tailed...and lose.
