Pretty much all UIZA zoos keep tapirs with rheas and capybaras (except one that separates the tapirs), and some throw some extra stuff like agouti and waterfowls.

King of Cotingas

@Humuhumu a page ago, I wouldn't do that. Callitrichidae can be combined with almost everything, including themselves, but Saimirinae are much more aggressive, and are usually only combined with larger fauna (Spectacled bear, Capybara, Tapir, Peccary etc.)

I am working on an Andean Bear (Spectacled Bear) exhibit and I want to mix something with it. I know they have been kept with Coatis (which I have and I could mix with them), but I would like something different. I know Doué-la-fontaine exhibits Andean Bear with Squirrel Monkey in a heavily planted exhibit, so do you think White-headed Capuchin would do? Or any other suggestions? All animals would have their own exhibits too of course.

That was my idea. But for me it's working. And it's from the same zoo

Can Sun Conures and Cotton-top Tamarins share an exhibit together?

Could spectacled bears and giant anteaters be kept together? What are some other unusual combinations that are rarely used but have been proven to work?

Well, there is a tapir/spectacled bear/otter exhibit in england,

so with that combination, I'm guessing it could work :)

@Humuhumu : Yeah, it has been done, especially in a large aviary with plenty of feeding stations, nesting boxes and branches. However, conures tend to destroy foliage. But a pair is manageable. ;)

@Charizard : Yeah, however it dépends a lot of the behavior of individual animals. Individual Tapirs but especially Capybaras tend to have specific personnlity. Offer plenty of space, at least two water pools and plenty of visual barriers and it should be ok. Tortoises might need a place to feed where only them can go.

@Ztlabraptor : I do not know, but I guess it could. Be sure they have their own exhibit too if they want so quiet time.

Okay, final combination:

Alligator Snapping Turtle/Largemouth Bass/Channel Catfish/Smallmouth Bass

I am not entirely sure about putting catfish with the snapping turtles, they spend more time close to the bottom and seem more likely to get bitten by the turtle than the other fishes IMO.

Does Common Breams work?

It could, but it would make 0 sense geographically wise.

In my Aquatic/Reptile Center, I would pair Spotted Gar/Smallmouth Bass/Common Bream/Channel Catfish/Largemouth Bass
