That means you are ditching the T. rex, Cave Lion and Smilodon or you will try to get someone to rig them?

No I do not let them aside I still working on. I'm remaking the Alberto skin, for the Rex i need to code it & the Smilodon are ready but i'm fixing some bugs. The Cave lion is a big work beacause i want to add some variants on the skin and also on the model, so I prefer to take my time with this animal ;)

For my Dollodon, I do not know what to decide for animation. I hesitate between taking the standard animation stegosaurus, or else make a mix between those last and that of camels.
I do not decide for that animal. ;)

Wouldn't camel bend the legs in the wrong way? xD

Love the skin and model, Sam. If you decide on rigging it to DM's muttaburrasaurus nodes, I could try to help you. :)

No xD
On the Camel animation i want to use only the Neck node, because the Dollodon has a longer neck than Hadrosaurus that was on ZT2.

It looks beautiful. Good job transporting the skin to this model.

Regarding the earlier conversation about fewer and fewer people knowing how to do more of the technical aspects of designing... I've tried a lot of the tutorials out there, and maybe it's just how my brain is wired, but I have a hard time following most of them (like... there are steps missing? or the creator of the tutorial assumes you have knowledge about a, b, and c and just need to learn d).

I work on training material at my job all the time, and--at least in our office--you build those tutorials as if the person reading it knows nothing.

I've more-or-less given up on ever doing anything more than skinning and some (re)coding work. My brain just doesn't want to learn a whole new skill set at this point in my life, I guess.
Beautiful skins Sam :)

Also, MiBound, I agree with you, I think a lot of tutorials are like that, but I guess a lot of people either don't want to or don't have the time. I know that last time I spoke with Eryel she had planned to make a lot of tutorials for designing, but she's pretty busy so I'm unsure as to if we'll ever get to see any of them. Hopefully if we do they'll be more helpful. xP

This is because the point of tutorials is not to walk you through everything, but rather tackle a very specific issue. For example, when it comes to blender tutorials here, it is usually assumed that you can take the initiative to follow one of the hundreds of beginner tutorials you find on the web before looking at the ZT2 specific ones. Otherwise all of these would be needlessly longer. It is just common practice to do things like that, because you first need basic knowledge about your program before you can start doing specific and more complex tasks.

you know Sam, you have been pushing out so many great models lately. and although they are all top notch, i think you should probably try to finish the existing ones before moving on to the next :P it's very tempting to make a new project in blender, where inspiration could strike you all the time, but you might ended up getting nothing done.

Indeed I do agree with your point.
But I would just like to clarify that if I accumulates some unfinished projects, this is because very few people agreed to work with me and help me finalize my projects. While in the community I see a lot of work together, so if people would accept card only to work or help me to finalize my work and although you would have every day many projects from my stuff released for the community (I take this opportunity to thank a few people that follow me like they can in my projects).

So I hope you understand my situation ;)
i said many times before that if you need help with whatever you wanted you could always ask me to help??

Thank you for your comments and support !

So for the moment I really do not have a big update was present..
I'd just come back from a technical point of view about the Iguanodon. Indeed I had designed the Iguanodon (And also many of my dinosaurs) without really paying attention to the details of their anatomical body, an aspect that gave a little square and sometimes "Too right" to my animals. So I want to show you a "light" version of the Iguanodon :

What do you think :) ?

A piece of toast and a terminator.

Probably the greatest (but probably only) Iguanodon I've ever seen!

(And that WWD brown and white one was a Dakotadon.)

I AM THE UNSHRINKWRAPPER!

Too many vertices. I usually aim for around two to three thousand, otherwise it won't work on everybody's game. and that big cleft between the arms looks a bit odd. Other than that, it looks really good!

It is only that the triceps muscle xD !
But I grant you they are a little too big.

What do you think ?
