Question: Is there an animation for the Thylcaine ingame for opening it's mouth as far as it's supposed to? And they model looks fantastic so far, good work!
There is an idle/yawning animation where it opens its mouth about 65 - 80 degrees not quite as impressive as the estimated 120 degrees but its fairly close, why is it you ask? If you don't mind my asking of course :P
Was just curious if you intended on making a new animation to fit it or not. Either way, I'm happy for a remake :)

I can always make the animation yeah, I may need to make all new animations as I still haven't been able to rip the rig from the old model but I have the old model :D if that counts for anything xD

I'd very much would like to see the extinct platypi you have made. If the thylacines are this good then the platypi must be amazing.
I made them on a much older system then this one, and I don't think I transferred the files, so I'm looking for the site I uploaded them on originally, if not I can always start them again ;D
The a upgraded version will be great to see as well.

This a very good thylacine. Can't wait for it!
Your wait is almost over!
I present
Spoiler: click to toggle

THE NEAR FINISHED MODEL :D
All it needs is the rig and a real skin ;D
With it being 4AM (GMT) I've been working on it all day getting the finer details down.
Tomorrow I will be working on ripping the rig from the EA Thylacine to try and keep the animations (lowering the work load *I will be adding my own animations -Maybe-*)

You'll have to switch over to blender to do so, because neither max nor maya support BF or BFB files. ;)

Ok so I've gotten some of the code all 'done' just need to add a few more references when I have the rig done, I remember reading somewhere that someone was able to lift the rigs from .bfb files but I cannot find it
I'm going to try rigging in maya and export it to import it in blender seeing as I hated blender ;D
If not I will relearn how to use blender D':

You can rip the bone data from BFB manually (tutorial on the ZT DC by papapanda), but that's really time consuming and there's no point in doing that if you can simply import the whole thing. :P

Well I haven't been able to find the original forum post so I may have to go and look for that post ;D and I don't mind it being time consuming I think it makes for a better 'product' in the long term

Would you look at me? I'm setting records.

This looks really great so far! Good work, dude!

Also, will you be making variants for it?

Variants hmm I was planning on making some small differences in patterns but it wont be anything major so I'm not sure if it quite counts ;D

No worries dude I enjoy criticism ;P and that is one of the minor things I will change when the code, rig and animations are done

I believe you misunderstood, at this point we can actually import the whole BFB, we no longer need to import the bone data manually. You'll have the same results in the end, although doing it manually might be more prone to mistakes.

I like your model though, well done !
