Is anyone else participating in this? I've set my alarm for 4 AM so I can spend the whole day looking for birds!

We used to have birds (including a family of Western Scrub Jays </3) until a feral cat killed them all. RiP little guys.

I like this idea.

However, I'll have to wait a bit to make any real contribution. The first wild birds aside from crows and gulls on the lake that I've seen in months were robins that have been hanging around. With all the snow, even a lot of the wintering birds have left.

I'm in North Carolina, so I see a lot of cool birds during the winter. But so far today all I saw was an American Robin and a Wood Thrush(?)

Wood Thrushes aren't even supposed to winter here xD
