Could be a little warmer. You'd want to shoot for 32 or so. Don't change heat mats, they're expensive and it'll probably get too hot. How deep is the substrate above the mat? What I do with my tank is switch the thickness of the tile from winter to summer, when the temps drop a few degrees |

This is from the Swedish Leopard Gecko Association (http://www.slgf.se/) (translated with google translate)
So, if this is correct, I have very good temperatures.. What do you think about this?

Selective breeding means in-breeding, genius. Exactly, it's the breeders fault. Don't support breeders who breed for morphs! |

Selective breeding does not necessarily mean line-breeding, it could include it, not all the time. Like I said before, many of those morphs you look down upon have stronger blood-lines that those mutt normals you love so much! You are so into those mutts that you don't realize that every single normal (unless you got a pure subspecies, which I doubt) are byproducts of the same very morphs you hate! Genius is the one who thinks that some aren't inbred at all! Even the pure subspecies are line bred, and I don't see your sorry self complaining. I really don't care what you think of us breeders, you are judging us from the few people who carelessly breed. |

Just remember that this is a pet show thread, not a discussion on breeding ethics. While a little discussion is okay, please refrain from straying off-topic or behaving aggressively. Thank you!

Yep, that should be good. I wouldn't exceed anything over 33 C, though, and anything less than 20 C. Also don't get a heat rock if you don't want to buy a thermostat to control it. Under the tank heat pads should have one too but they generally stay at exactly the temp they need to

If you use an infrared bulb, place tiles or a rock cave under it, and it'll retain a lot of belly heat for the lizards

Time for an update ![]() I've been to the store and bought new "sand". It's basically small rocks, or something I hope this is better than sand! I've also bought lots of caves, and insects.. Living insects.. *gross* but it was actually really fun feeding them. I gave them worms and some other bug (don't remember the name, some kind of jumping thing). I had some vitamins on the food, calcium and d3. They also have a bowl with this pulver, I don't know why but I read that they need it, so why not. When it comes to the lamp, I have both a day light lamp and an infrared lamp. I'm not sure which one they rather want. The infrared is so dark, and I've heard that they enjoy "sunlight" (without uv). I haven't heard anything about using a infrared bulb except that Macaw Mike told me to so I really don't know. I've been changing between them today ![]()

That should be okay, I guess. Idk how well they'd pass the gravel if they were to ingest it. Also, the bowl of powder is fine and should be kept there. If they need extra vitamins they'll lick it on their own. What are those wires running into the tank? |

One is for the heatmat, one is for the heat rock (it's not in use so I cut the wire and kept the rock, they seem to like it) and the third is for temperature, but it was only temporary for checking the temp under the light. So there's only one wire now

Alright guys, say hello to my new gecko! She is a lovely female, her name is Azalea. She's moved in together with Rango and Adele, and Rango is hitting on her so I think it's time for mating soon. The introduction went very well ![]() Anyone want to guess morph? ![]() ![]() ![]() (Sorry if the pictures are upside down or something.. It's my phone and I have no idea why it's doing that) |

An Albino of some sort, by my guess. A photo of the animal's back from above would help |

Indeed, she is a Tremper Albino. My male is very interested in her, it seems. He bites her sometimes and she bites back. Apparently it's just what they do during mating season
