The Eyes that follow you in the Alolan forests

Nice little Dreppy, i've always liked small reptiles and this definitely captures the look of a small reptile. By the way, do you know what biome the creature will use?

Tropical Rainforest. The Calcare di Zorzino formation was pretty much a dead ringer for modern-day Costa Rica.

@BossMan, Jake: The giant claw is a giant claw, end of story. The big flange-like thing on the arm is actually the critter's Ulna, which I think is best described with this picture:

Spoiler: click to toggle

Something REALLY weird was going on with the arm muscles on this thing.

Nice to know, would have preferred Temperate Rainforest though, its your choice. Also nice Ulna you got there Dreppy.

So I take it you didn't get the joke then?
Ah well it made me laugh. Great job on the animal though

@plushtrap this animals fossils have been attributed to coastal environment so you'll be far more accurate to put it in a tropical rain forest or even a coastal biome rather than temperate rainforest.

Ah, so I was right in guess a mangrove forest environment for my book... Nice!

Loving the the colors on the Drepano. Definitely gonna love it more if it will climb on the foliage and rocks that are coded to allow animals to do so. Even more so if it does something with that claw on the tail tip in-game!

I've got an IK constraint on the tail claw bone, so hopefully I'll be able to make it use it as an extra foot while climbing or balancing on its hind feet. I haven't considered letting it climb rocks (I should do that) but it'll be able to climb most TR trees.

@Plushtrap: I don't think anything in the Triassic could be described as "Temperate."

@BossMan, Jake: I'm afraid I didn't. Is it a reference to a show I don't watch, or something?

It's a dumb little Vine meme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NSKl5ZjPYQ

I swear whenever I look at Drepanosaurus I think some paleontologist is just messing with us but then I remember there are stranger animals in life.

Why not reef? and underused, tropical and coastal environment. The reef environment has always been a favourite of mine.
Besides, it does not really matter where it is as long as we have it, after all it is a great looking critter.

Why not reef?
Because the damn thing didn't live in reefs.

Also, holy hell, someone is actually making one of these for ZT2. Simply an exquisite color scheme you chose for it, couldn't think of one any better.

Just a constructive question, do you plan on implementing any variants to this animal?

Because I had a recent thought that a variant with an inverted pattern would look rather nice, and would be quite easy to create the texture for, as most could be done with a simple button press in an image editor.

Just thought I'd get this thought out. Love the fact the tail claw may have some form of movement in-game.

I do plan on having variants, but I can't guarantee that I'll have that particular one. I do plan on having a darker variant, a lighter variant, and an albino, plus maybe one or two extras.

Reef is changed to Tropical Coast in RR so it still works. Also i think this is the best extinct terrestrial reptile made for ZT2 which is outside of the Crurotarsi group (and believe me there is a ton of good ones.)

^ I think what AGA was trying to say was that this animal was not aquatic; and thus didn't live in reefs or tropical coasts. It lived in forests.
