Does the end of it's tail have an alpha? I can see fur texture, but I feel as though it's tail is missing an alpha. If it does have a tail alpha, then that's OK, but the perspective of the render, make the tail look solid.

It does have an alpha. Looking at the render now, I can see lots of mistakes and stuff that would never have happened if Blender would just shade its animals like NifSkope used to do. The tail does have an alpha, but the way I shaded the render makes it look as though the alpha is solid.

The perspective also makes the babies look as if they had moustaches, when in fact they do not, and the adult male as if it doesn't have a moustache, when in fact it does.

(I know I'm a teensy bit late on this, but I want to say this nonetheless.)
Thank you for making such a beautiful lystrosaurus! Dicynodonts are very underrepresented in zoo tycoon 2 mods, and it makes me happy to see designers giving these obscure creatures some spotlight.

So, just stumbled upon this one. Is there any particular reason for the animal being gorilla-suited with skin and fur close to bone while having fleshy lips? xD Not that it doesn't visually 'pop', because it does, just curious of the reasons behind it.

I don't really understand what you're getting at... I made sure to add a fairly thick layer of soft tissue over the entirety of the skeleton. The skin around the top of the skull and the eye sockets I made a little tighter, according to this quote from Mark Witton: "virtually [all] animals have areas where their extra-skeletal tissues are shallow and skeletal contours are visible. Common areas of thin tissue include the ends of limbs and tails; the midline of the sternal region; and some areas of the face, such as the frontal and nasal regions; the ‘cheek region’ (over the jugal in birds and reptiles, and the zygomatic arch in mammals), and the lower margins of the bottom jaw."

I'm quite familiar with Witton's blog ;) Communicating things like "I don't understand you at all" doesn't help me to clarify anything, so I'll point you towards the fact that you claim to have given it both soft tissue layers and rather longer layer of fur, yet the fur doesn't seem to affect the outline of the animal much besides the dangly bits alone - I'm not suggesting changes after release, merely inquiring you, as an author, on things I'd like to know about your design.

I'm not slow! That's just my moe!

Fur is typically softer and more flexible than feathers and is unlikely to heavily impact the outline of an animals dorsal surface unless the animal deliberately raises them.

Ah, I think that's a bit clearer. I don't believe I've ever claimed it had long fur, to be honest; in fact, the fur is supposed to be short and contour-hugging, like a goat's or horse's. (Although if I have said it had long fur and merely forgotten, my apologies.)

@Stargate, since you "don't understand" - I shall blindly attempt to clarify - this Lystro reminds me a lot of caviids in terms of fur, and given capybaras & co have a bit of volume added by their cover, my mind went to them alone as examples.

Thank you for explaining, AJ, I might've been misguided by the alphas when it comes to actual volume :)
