I don't know about anyone else, but I actually prefer this deinonychus to JFD's. I can't quite place my finger on it,but something about it looks a lot more realistic.

Although I'd agree that the snout could do with some more texture, but apart from that it's perfect ;)

JFD, like so many others, fell victim to "gorilla-suiting" their Deinonychosaurs. While this is perfectly acceptable considering we really have little idea of how thickly extinct dinosaurs were feathered, it makes them look somewhat emaciated and less like real animals then a thick coat of feathers on top of a healthy amount of fat and muscle would. I do not want to put down JFD or their work, which is amazing, but they could have put a little more fluff on their raptors.

The legs of our raptors indeed came out on the thin side. I don't quite get your remark on emaciating and gorilla-suiting them, especially after all the beef the community has had against us fluffing them up to current level. The neutral pose was supposed to fit the raptor nodes we were using at a time, hence some parts weren't 'curled up' for neutral bird-like posture.

Now with that said, I do quite fancy your way of handling the wing feathers pattern and wish to compliment the choice of colour as it happens to look quite well on presented animal :)

My sincerest apologies, it appears I am not as up-to-date with the community as I ought to be. My comment was based on this image. I had not realized that there was another version of your raptor out there and thus judged you unfairly. This newer version is much better and more accurate (though the tail's a bit long, and you are correct about the legs.) Thank you for the complements.

@MatttheCat, the only things I can think of that would tip your opinion would be colour patterns and the shape of the eye (mine has more prominent "eyebrows"), which would be purely aesthetic differences.

You may indeed suggest it. However, I will give absolutely zero guarantee that I will ever make it. (And besides, Dahalokely was so much more awesome than Masiakasaurus.)

Plus it's Mahajangasuchus, not Majungasuchus.

Will you eudimorphodon use DM's rampho animation or his peteinosaurus animations?

Whoa, whoa, whoa, where did I ever say that I would ever be making a Eudimorphodon? I mentioned it in one post that was more an "I wish" than a list of future projects... I must needs be careful what animals I mention around here, else people will think I will actually be making them.

But, should I ever decide make a small pterosaur such as Eudimorphodon anyway, which is no confirmation, I would certainly hope I had the skill level to make NEW animations. Because to be honest DM's animations really don't work that well for Pterosaurs. The wings fold the wrong way and stuff.

It's fine. My fault, not yours... I should have been more specific.

Well to get back on topic, I'm loving the Deinonychus however I was wondering what animation set it would use, Deinonychus or Velociraptor?

I'm not sure just yet. Probably whichever one holds their head higher, since I know at least the Deinonychus has an irritating habit of holding its nose pointed toward the ground. Although I'm toying with the idea of rigging it to DM's theropod animations... Further study required. In any case I'll have to do some fancy dancing with the rigging on the arms to make them not get absorbed by the body when it moves.

As much as I and other may agree with that, this is the wrong place for it.

And now for something completely different... PTEROSAURS!

Quetzalcoatlus northropi

Pterosaurs are one of my favourite prehistoric animals, for a number of reasons. This fella was the absolutely humongousest, with a wingspan the size of an airplane! Scientists think it was probably some kind of prehistoric vulture, scavenging the kills of the ultimate predator, T-WRECKZ, and it probably wasn't a very good flier. But hey! It was cool! That's why I made it for ZT2!

Features:
-All-new animations! (Yup. I learned how to do them over Spring Break.)
-New sounds!
-Goes into Death Duels with DM's Pteranodon!
-Hunts and eats humans (including staff) when let out of its exhibit!

Aaaaand guess what?

IT'S RELEASED!!!!!1!!!111!!ONE!!1!

Enjoy!
