Really, really good for a first model. Heck, I couldn't figure out how to even transform a cube (Perhaps just lack of will power on my part, but, eh)Although I would suggest attempting to form the mouth into more of a beak. And the ridge on the back might stand to be more defined ![]() Like this, ![]() Although, as it is your first model, I won't nitpick too much ![]() It is good though. |

I was only able to do this because I got guidance from Dinorexchris. Also I'm still not familiar with things and can't really fix it. Maybe when more skilled but not at the moment

OK. BTW Again, this is public domain, I don't think we have a lot of PD Models of turtles so this is basically my gift to the community and to those wanting to make a turtle for the carnival contests. Also for future reference. Unless stated otherwise all the stuff I make will be public domain. I have been a old member of this community, first lurking then actually participating via posting. I have seen the rise and fall of great sites and advancements from mere recoloring to new animations. I have witnessed the activity of members now either dead or simply inactive. As a "old fart" of this community I am happy to show my first proper contribution to the designing empire. I hope to be able to contribute more to this community. I hope one day I can actually accomplish my wishlist and other people's wish lists. Long live the community and the brilliant digital artists within it. |

If or when I ever fix this model I already have some things I want to fix. I forgot to add the tail...XD Beak and back as mentioned. And eye areas. For now, I think it is good for those starting out on designing and would make a good designer resource. |

FINALLY! I did something! ![]() I thought a skin made in paint would look bad...I'm no AD skinner but at least it looks better than BRR. If anyone else wants reskins, I'm happy to make them. Still need help making it a DDs and Making it work in game but I'm still happy to help make it. |

Anyone know of Philly's caviramus is PD? I am reskinning and resizing it to be a Harpactognathus. I'm also working on resizing and reskinning the Giant claws Pterosaur since the head looks perfect for Muzquizopteryx. |

Hey ![]() I'm really happy you started working on your first project After looking at your blend I can say, there are easier ways to make a useable ingame mesh. Working with low, low poly models and then adding a subsurf modifier might be a nice way to begin for a model for a scene or high poly object, but is usually only the first step on the production pipeline, because such a mesh usually gets sculpted and then later on retopologized. You want to get to the retopologized version, though, without making all those steps before, so when modelling for zt2 purpose, we try to get a nice model without any modifier editings (besides mirror and some unimportant ones ). I don't intend on touching the models...I'm basically doing what early designers did, resizing and recoloring along with a new name. Although Harpactognathus is being worked on by a friend of mine. I am remaking it and the skin. But for the origional attempt...I have two people helping me so that version might be available for people who want it. |

Good news and bad news... Bad news is, Pterosaurs may not be fixed until I get a reply from hendrix since he made both the pterosaurs and Ape 2. Good news is... Ok...the PM was not helpful so I can't resize stuff. Good news though. I will be releasing animals similar in size to already released ones. Currently Angustinaripterus, Navajodactylus, and Muzquizopteryx are being tested and bug fixed. |
