it looks amazing but for some reason the collar looks a bit odd (probably because there are some hairs and stuff) but it really looks awesome

Oh one little tiny itty bitty thing, would you make a Golden Bear variant? I know it'd be hard to find reference pics, but just thoughts.

Could you make the variant that has black snout?. Many asiatic black bears I saw were black-snout.

@Fireplume, I won't be making a golden variant, for the reason you said. I must've spliced atleast three different Asian bear pics to make the one skin I've been working on and I'm still not 100% happy with how it's head is turning out, so no golden bear I'm affraid :(

@Lelka, I do plan on making some different "moon" collar variants, so I'll keep the thing about the snouts in mind.

@gobicaspion16, I think it's it's a combination of the alphas and how the UV was set up, making the collar look odd, I've already remade the UV since that image was taken and I don't want to remake the UV, again. The young also has a different UV from the adult, although I'm yet to skin the young.

@Furka, I think the stretching is caused by the bears animations rather than an issue with the skin itself, parts of the bears model stretches when the bear lies down or stands up it's back legs. I'll have to check weather it's just my model or if it happens with other bears that use the Syrian brown bear as the base model.

I'm fairly certain it's all bears, I don't think yours has anything wrong with it, hahaha.

Does anyone have any ideas as to the best biome compatibility for an Asian Black Bear? I'm planning on having Temperate forest as the main biome, but I want to know what other biomes it should be compatible with, including AD's biomes.

It might go in the temperate rainforest

Gosh nearly anything, from wetlands and grasslands to tropical rainforest, temperate rainforest, and boreal forest.

According to Google I would just make it temperate rainforest but turn all the other biome sensitivity to 0.

If it's any help, here is the biome comps for the official Asiatic black bear by Blue Fang:
Quote:

<alpine sensitivity="2"/>
<borealforest sensitivity="2"/>
<desert sensitivity="-5"/>
<grassland sensitivity="0"/>
<temperateforest sensitivity="10" primary="true"/>
<tropicalrainforest sensitivity="0"/>
<tundra sensitivity="-10"/>
<savannah sensitivity="-5"/>
<scrub sensitivity="-5"/>
<wetlands sensitivity="-5"/>

From this I would maybe lower desert since some sources say they can be found in deserts (wikipedia and this), and for the same reason make Cold Desert suitable (0, 2 or something like that).
For the rest of the AD biomes, I think Montane should be at 10 since they're good in Temp Forest and in Alpine and it's kind of a middle ground.
-10 for Polar Ice and the rest should be suitable but not perfect I guess.

Thankyou lgcfm, I think the sources that refer to this species being found in deserts might be referring to cold deserts, I doubt such a medium-large animal, with long, thick, black fur would survive in a hot desert. So I'll leave the desert as -5, maybe change it to -7 or -8, and make it's cold desert need 0.

Ok, I've got good news and bad news.

The good news, the bears works good ingame :)

The bad news, this is what the baby looks like,

Posted Image

The Young and adult have different UV's and skins and everything is correctly linked in the .nifs, yet the young used the adult skin ingame and the mess in the above image is the result, any ideas?
