Mushrooms on trees. Is the mushroom separated from the tree and you add it on? |

The fungi is seperate, so you can place it anywhere on the tree yourself
Bingo, it is indeed an elk, Rocky Mountain elk (C. canadensis nelsoni) to be more precise.

Awesome. We have been needing a good Elk for awhile. They are actually one of my favorite Deer. It is kind of hard to see some of the details from a distance though. A closer look would be appreciated |

What biome should the elk be? Currently I have it as Alpine for it's main biome and compatible with the following: Boreal forest Montane Temperate forest Temperate grassland Freshwater Wetlands |

I guess Grassland would work. But Boreal Forest could work too |

What it says on wikipedia for this sub-species doesn't exactly help with a main biome,

Really I wouldn't stress over the biome that much. We have them here and I've seen them close to home in the grasslands, in the foothills, on streets, and up high in the mountains. I would say boreal forest just to make it easy but having them compatible with those other biomes is good. (If there is a baseball field or golf course biome they would prefer that) |
