Yay common wood pigeon. Nice job. They tried nesting four times in front of our kitchen window on a Russian olive tree in the last three years. Interesting that in my country they started to colonize the urban areas in the last 25-30 years before this they were shy forest dwellers. |

Don't kill rats or pigeons, give them to me instead because I love them. ![]() Real talk tho, love those wood pigeons. (That's their name, right?) I already see potential in having them walk around the zoo for added realism in show and tells. |

Same with me, the same pair (I think) have nested in my neighbours holly for the last 3 or so years and last year they managed to fledge three chicks, which I think is extremely rare as the only find information on this species I can find mentions them laying no more than two eggs at a time. Also the population seems to have exploded in the area where I live within the last 10 years. 10 plus years ago, there were loads of eurasian collared doves and only a single pair of wood pigeons, now it's the other way around. And people call adult pigeons "rats with wings". The babies, make the adults look beautiful. |

Nice work! I love the fact you are including different age stages. Especially young models of birds are lacking. I guess the baby model of the common wood pigeon could be used for other pigeon species as well. |
