![]() Remember: this model is a work in progress. Anything and everything is subject to change. As my first major meshing job, I think it's quite nice, aside from what's going on with the legs, but it's still going to be tweaked. A lot. |

I feel as though the sail is a bit to square based on skeletal evidence, and a quick questin but will you be going with Scott Hartman's restoration with somewhat longer back legs and pelvis but still odd and somewhat quadrupedal or are you going full on quadruped? |

Man, if you can pull the quadrupedal Spino off, you'll be a designing legend for sure. |

Probably just because it's super fat.
Wasn't Scott's longer-legs thing debunked? Besides, I think it would be even harder to find animations for on-and-off semiaquatic quadruped than for just semiaquatic quadruped, so I'm probably going full-on quadruped. |

The whole spinosaurus debate has not been settled. Many people feel that a quadruped spino isn't possible, due to theropod hand bones. It would have to knuckle walk, which could cause problems for the hand and finger bones. They were not robust like many other knuckle walkers, and they had large claws on them. Too much weight on these could break them, which would mean knuckle walking would be impossible. So I'm not so sure on the quadruped spino is even possible. |

that makes sense but the entire debate has confused me i bet eventually they find a skeleton with a spinosaurus with legs right in between (like mostly happens |

Spinosaurus model v0.2 is basically the same as Spinosaurus model v0.1, just with a more rounded sail and beefier arms.![]() This is less an update and more a last call for any updates (not pertaining to the walking/arms debate because I'm not exactly sure what I'll do in that regard) that need to be made to the model before I start rigging, skinning, etc. |

Hey- is anyone willing to help rig the Spinosaurus to HENDRIX's theropod anims? I've been trying to but I can't exactly get it since the proportions are so different on the model compared to the WWD Giganotosaurus. Anyway, I will fully credit you if you do so. If anyone's interested, send me a PM and I'll give you a link to the file. Also, as for the anims, I decided that they would probably be the easiest and Megraptor gave some very good points, so if it's ever decided Spinosaurus was a quadruped for sure I'll probably remake it.
