While I agree the detail on the model is great I'm just concerned wether it's to high poly for ZT2. Either way great model so far.
The high detail model will not be used in game. All it will be used for is to create the shadows, specularity, main details for the texture. It is a technique I learned from those who do stuff for animation and is going to experiment with it to make part of the skin, since I don't consider myself good when it comes to gimp.

I'm currently Multitasking coding and Rigging right now so that bug fixing when it deals with the animations will be easier.

I believe adding more textures will enhance your project. I also notice how some of your colors abruptly end like the stripes on the neck, you can fix this in GIMP by using the heal tool

I think it really needs texture (not from the model but for the skin) and some muscle details. Otherwise, it'll look rather bland. ;)

I think the model in itself is amazing. The color choice is superb.. I just think that several hues and layering of colors for the skin would move this project further to epic proportions. There are several skinning tutorials here that are great..

Ok to clear some things up about the texture that ya'll are talking about

There is a high detail texture onto the texture to give it the feathrs on the body and the scales on the face and feet. you can't see the texture that well because of the angle those images were rendered.

and I've checked the skinning tutorials alover the community and they won't help me because of the method I chose to do. They use image editing software to make the texture entirely. I used blender to make the textures then I merged them in gimp, so the tutorials and such won't work for the skin.

Trust me,using an image editing software to do it is FAR better. Granted, I can see a bit of the texture on the model but it really lacks shading and muscle details. Also, the transition between the colours are not that great. It feels sudden and lacks smoothness.

Overall, I'm not too familiar with the way you are skinning this animal. It's a shame because the model looks superb while the skin isn't ... quite up to par. Perhaps an ingame picture would help with the analysis? So sorry if you feel offended by my criticism, bud.
