I'm just going to leave this here because we had this in an old topic and I want to see what people's opinion of this now is.

Please do not scream "bear" because bears do not have the ability to pull sideways or defined shoulders.
seems like a guy in a suit, did you see how many leaves and twigs that guy would've stepped on?
I'm not saying you're wrong but I don't see how the leaves and twigs he ran over had to do with the subject?

There was only quiet snapping very early, and even then the animal is clearly preoccupied with tearing apart the base of that tree, its head is practically in the tree until near the end, and there's no snapping at that point until the very end when he runs off.

looks convincing enough. :)

anyways: weather its a guy in a suit or a real sasquatch/skunkape/bigfoot/ect it would still likely be a hominid. unless its a bear...

It's probably a tall guy in a suit or hooded sweater. Not just was there no visible face to prove it was not a human but also the head resembles a hoodie.

To bad the guy runs off when the "skunk ape" stands up. I mean how often does a person get that close to a possible cryptid creature (if it is a creature, not a guy in some suit/hoodie) with a camera at hand? Also with the creature/person being preoccupied with the tree, could that guy have got any closer?

If it is a real creature it could be dangerous.

Yeah, Luca's correct, you can speak about how amazing it'd be from the safety of your comfy home, behind your screen and keyboard, but if you were out there with what you perceived to be a large, mysterious and potentially dangerous creature, you'd be afraid too

It's a hoax - that photograph has been confirmed to be a spider monkey.

If it was a guy in a hooded sweater you would see a seam on the body where his sweater ends and his pants begins. The video is incredibly clear, probably the clearest video of this type that isn't an obvious fake, you need to look for the fine details.

Also "not seeing its face does not mean it was "probably a human". It doesn't mean it wasn't, either, but it's not like the subject is going to pose for the camera so we see it in detail. We have to go with what we see, not go "oh we can't see it's face so it's probably a person." I'm fully willing to say it could be a person, even likely, but you cannot just assume things because you didn't get all the information you wanted.

I don't know how plausible that video is but I'd like to point out that the cameraman's snapping is hardly audible which is surprising since the camera is so close to his body that it would pick up his movement's fairly well.
Besides, the cracking noise the tree makes midway through the video is far louder and at the very least a good ten meters away.

This isn't the greatest justification but when bears tear into objects they usually make lots of scratching motions with their paws. Whatever was tearing that tree open was grabbing a hold of the tree and yanking backwards.

Why does nobody get sarcasm anymore...
Flish even said not to say it was a bear why else would I say that...

Anyway, its almost certainly an escaped pet.

Yah. It's probably an escaped Gorilla or Chimp, if it's not a human in a suit.
