I could have sworn I had a topic in this section but apparently not. O well there's one now! In any case I needed a project file for those projects I am making that are not Countries of the World related. In this section will be the pics for the new Awesome Australia remakes, my Speculative Dinosaur Project Pack, Lord of the Rings, my remake of Jurassic Park and others. I fact lets start now with a continuation of my old post on Gaea. Spec World is an alternate Earth where the dinosaurs never became extinct. It was an elaborate web project that now seems to be limited to a few archived pages scattered about the web, Lucky for me I downloaded the entire website before it was removed and have decided to make some packs based on it. I have already released two packs and here is the third Spec World: The Poles! The Imperial Sabre-Tyrant! ![]() ![]() The largest carnivorous land animal on Spec Earth is this descendant of tyrannosaurus. This is a typical member of the genus Smilotyrannus and it is specialized for piercing the blubber and thick feathers of polar therizinosaurs. The Carapoo ![]() The largest land mammal on Spec, this caribou-like creature is actually related to rodents not ungulates. Speaking of Dinosaurs here is my first Jurassic park remake. This remake will change the models (and sometimes behavior) but try to retain the look of the old skins. My first attempt was the Styracosaurus. ![]() On the left is the new model with the original JPOG skin. On the right is the same model and skin with new texture. I like the textured version as it reduces the blurriness that is the natural result of re-sizing the old skins but what do you think? New texture or retain the original JPOG look? Next up some Lord of the Rings animals. Edited by Tamara Henson, Aug 19 2015, 03:23 PM.

Finally an update for my old Lord of the Rings expansion set. Pack two will be the Oromildar or riding animals of Middle Earth. Here are some unusual steeds including a few monsters. As the name implies all the creatures in this pack can be ridden. Finished and tested are the Elven horse and Zurafa. The first is the steed of the elves and the second an okapi-like species with forwards pointing horns used as mounts by the Nurags, Variags, and Chey cultures. Elven Horse ![]() ![]() Zurafa ![]() Now I am working on the warg. I decided to use the hyena-like original movie version as opposed to a typical wolf. Here are the skins... ![]() Right now I am trying to contact Eryel to use his Stegotetrabelodon for the Mumak (olephant). I know it's public domain but I think I need permission to release it to ZT2 Wildlife and possibly here. |

No, you don't need permission to release it (in fact, it's a prerequisite of Eryel's that if you use her stuff you actually have to release it ), just give credits and it's ok

Thanks. I know that originally she wanted permission to release anything made from her models anywhere but Zoo Hispania and here. Nice to know this has changed. I have one Mumak skin done and the rest will be ready soon. |

Finally got the bugs out of the Mumak (it kept crashing when giving birth) and got permission from Eryol so here are the next batch of LOTR animals. Everyone meet the mighty Olephant ![]() ![]() and it's arctic cousin the Losandmunda ![]() ![]() I have also finished that steed of the evil Nazgul, the fierce fell beast ![]() And here are the Warg in game ![]() For Spec World here is a favorite of guests, the polar drak ![]() next up is the mera and marsh pony of middle earth. Not sure which spec animal I will do next so I will leave it as a surprise. Edited by Tamara Henson, Sep 23 2015, 04:05 PM.

The Losandmunda is from 'The Creatures of Middle Earth' published in the 1980s for the MERP Rpg. It was a game bestiary compiled from Tolkien's notes and approved by his estate. I have owned a physical copy for years. Lots of lovely wildlife described, not just monsters. You can read a pdf version here... http://www.scribd.com/doc/10595018/Creatures-of-Middle-Earth#scribd Here is the next animal for Spec world, the Roane Selkie. There is some distortion of the tail when it moves on land but otherwise it works great... ![]() as you can see I have figured out some limited meshing but have yet to try blender. Manut made me a lovely mesh of a crested dove for Awesome Australia but when coded it distorts badly. It was made from DM's raven so should use the Secretary bird animations but this occurred... ![]() It looked even more hilarious when I tried using peacock coding so I think I will have to make another model. I will still give manut co-credit for the design through since I will be pretty much copying his concept. and finally something I am going to release for the holidays. Here is the Easter Bunny... ![]() It works perfectly and yes it lays Easter eggs instead of pooping! I am going to make some scenery stuff and then release it in plenty of time before spring so ZT2 can celebrate Easter right It may be a while before I contact you again since my Grandmother is ill and I can't get away from her care to use the internet very often but at least I can still code offline so I will continue with these projects. |

It looks very cool Nice animals. Love your packs! Take care of your grandmother! Also: If the Rabbit "lays" eggs, is that egg coded as enrichment item? |
