You have to replace the BFMAT file after export, as blender does not support the special material effects.

Oh yeah and one more thing: Your mesh is non-manifold, that means it has faces inside where no faces should be. That costs performance and can also cause ugly shading. So I'd recommend deleting all those unseen faces.

Oh, well I saw it in the model you sent me. There are faces inside. There is no way to do it automatically as far as I know, so simply select all the inside stuff and remove it. Make sure you turn off "Limit Selection to Visible" so you can see the inside of your model.

You can select the main parts you want to keep by selecting one vertex of the model part and then clicking Ctrl+L and then with Ctrl+I invert the selection. Then you should have all unneeded parts selected and you can easily delete them ;)
Oh and btw, what monster hunter Garth said about the softwares, that's bs in my opinion (excuse my French). Different companies work with different programs and you'll be selected wether or not your portfolio looks good, rather then which software you used. For vfx or CG arts in general it's all about how the end product looks, not how you achieved it. Blenders sculpting abilities are very good, and you can achieve a zbrush like workflow with many add ons for example. Blenders modelling functions are as good if not even better than Maya's, and it has even more, like the cycles render engine or a node based compositor. And especially for this kind of modding for zt2, where you really don't use many functions of those softwares, blender is more than enough!

EDIT :
I want to make an animal who have a glowing eyes like this when night time...is this possible in zoo tycoon 2 ?
