DISCLAIMER: Everything of my work I released here is completely PD AND it´s also ok to re-upload things so that the files don´t get lost for the community. You can also release things which have just a small edit (changed colour, size, rotation, location (deeper in ground e.g. trees)...).

This is my first project thread.^^

I mostly create simple stuff (reskins) for my game. Recently I made a set of small infosigns for all my cat species in game. There are a few sets for download an I love to use them, but for many animals are no good signs existing, especially for the not so common zoo animals. Also the most signs are really big. In real zoos I visited the signs mostly aren´t that big.

I used the warning signs from shentirag as base. (are they PD? If yes, I could release them.)

As you can see I made them in my native language, german. They are coded not to gridsnap and are passable. They work ingame and one sign has 10 variants.
In total there are 40 cat signs, 20 bigger cats and 20 smaller cats.
I will post ingame pics soon.

Another project I am working on are new filter categories. With so many animals I would otherwise loose the overview. Filters for biome and endangerment status are ok, but in my opinion not really handy.
My additional categories are:
1. "continent", like afrika, asia, europe, pacific...
2. "family", like cats, dogs, crocodiles, bird of prey...(some smaller groups are one filter due to keep their number small. So e.g. I list elephant and rhinoceros species in one filter)
3. "region", specifies the region the animals live, like south africa, india, caribbean...
4. "time of activity", atm only nocturnal

I coded them and they are working in my game.
I don´t know if anyone would also like to use new filters like those. Hacks to edit the animals.xml would be required.

I don´t know how to edit the model by shentirag, so I made a new apha so that the post is invisible. Due to that with glass fences this happens often. The gap disappears when I change the perspective. Other walls with no transparency are fine.

Here is an example of the new filters. Since I have the filter for animal families and regions I rarely use the ingame filters.

Here are some filters for the "families". You can see "Hunde" (dogs), "Katzen" (cats), "Bären, pandas" (bears, pandas) and so on. In the adoption panel you can see that I have selected the cat family.

These are for big regions. I have selected the filter for north america.

These are more specific regions. You see my content for north africa. Some big regions have so many different areas that sometimes I´m to lazy to search e.g. for chinese animals in the big "asia" filter.

If anyone wants to give the filter a try I have uploaded my personal beta version.

I have translated it so there are english files inside.
DTF - the filter

Here are the animal files. I included the coded RR ans some popular high qualitiy packs
animal xml files
NOTE: They are coded as I like it in my game. That means:
no space requirements, fits in every biome, reduced headroom requirement (can be placed below low elevated paths), cashback when put for adoption, privacy=-100.

If anyone has some suggestions it would be nice to tell me.
Expecially the categories for fishes and the more specific regions need some work on.

I hope it´s ok to double post in my own thread. (?)

I updated the sign pack. The filter "bunteriro" should show up correctly, also no white squares as icon.
And...

...I included 20 bears! 16 big bears and 4 small "bears".

Did you download both files?

The filter itself is "~ContinentFilterDefault". click for filter

And for the animals to shop up you need the second file named "~animals continent family filter". click for animals to show up
Every single animal need the code in their main.xml otherwise they don´t show up in the filter.

Both files are needed.

I just testet it ingame with only original game files plus the two files listed above. It should work.

If yes, what do you think?
If yes again, I would think about a way to give you easy access to the animal files coded for the filter. The current file for download contains only the RR animals and some popular packs and thats not really satisfying.
To share the files for more animals to show up need some time, so I need feedback if you like it.

Did you try to remove all other mods? Then most of the bluefang animals should show up in the filters (due to the RR.xml files).

Does it work this way?

Animal signs - pack 2
The next part is ready for sharing.
It contains 60 signs for carnivorans like part 1.
30 dogs (foxes, wolves, wild dogs...), 20 pinnipeds and 10 mixed special carnivorans (hyenas, carnivorans from madagascar and the tasmanian devil).
