I updated the first animals:
The howlers now have working young variants.
Yellow-handed Mitered Langur of the Sumatran Surili pack: now the babies born ingame have also the variants.

Instruction how to customize filters

There are three options:
1. customize the s_Wahl filters which are already in this file ~ContinentFilterDefault.z2f
2. changing the filters of one category
3. adding a new category

1. customize the s_Wahl filters

Open the lang file. You will find this
Wahl_filtertext.xml
<ZT2Strings>
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Wahl_B1Name">Name</LOC_STRING>
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Wahl_B2Name">Name</LOC_STRING>
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Wahl_B3Name">Name</LOC_STRING>
</ZT2Strings>

You can change the "Name" to whatever you want, for example the first line to "LivingFossil":

<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Wahl_B1LivingFossil">Living Fossil</LOC_STRING>

Save and now you can add this coding to all the animals (or plants) you want.
For this you have to add the right coding to the main.xml
In this case the code would be s_Wahl="B1LivingFossil"
You don´t have to change the "name" parts but its much more easy to recognize it this way for coding and also ingame. The first name part is for the coding, the >Name< is the name ingame.

2. changing the filters of one category

We are still in the lang files. You can rename the filters of all the categories like you wish. The ingame name you can rename just like you want. Thats no problem at all.
If you change the filter themselves remember that you have to change it in every single animal (or other object) you have coded to the filters! Therefore if you don´t like the filters I added to the categories change them BEFORE you start to code all your animals to them!
Note: The parts A4 D2 behind the categories are for the right order. The filters are sorted by alphabet ingame.

3. adding a new category

Let us make a new category together. We make a "Nutrition" filter category from the "Wahl" filter category.

To add a new category you need a new lang file and a new buypanel file.

First the lang file:
Copy the Wahl_filtertext.xml and rename it to Nutrition_filtertext.xml
open it and change the filters like you want.
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Nutrition_A1Carn">Carnivore</LOC_STRING>
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Nutrition_A2Omni">Omnivore</LOC_STRING>
<LOC_STRING _locID="FilterText:s_Nutrition_A3Herb">Herbivore</LOC_STRING>

You can ad as many filters as you like.

You also have to change the buypaneltypelist file. You find this here: ui\template\
Add there: <s_Nutrition/>

Now you can code your animals to your new filter category.
The coding you would have to add to the animals would be in our example:
s_Nutrition="A1Carn", s_Nutrition="A2Omni" or s_Nutrition="A3Herb"

I need a new set of info signs so I made these:

You can see here:
- northern europe
- terra del fuego
- apes (taxonomy)
- flightless birds
The colours match with the colours I use for my directional signs. Europe is light blue, south america is violet and general things are olive-green.

I used CRG´s backdrops as base (they are based on models by sophie) for the info signs. I THINK they should be PD so I will release them after I made some more.

Since the base shoul be PD, I can also make a set of info signs in english. I´m open for suggestions but no promises. :)

I just saw a question topic about PU downloads and I want to say: everything I officially released of my work is completely PD AND it´s also ok to re-upload things so that the files don´t get lost for the community.

For the people with access to my PU stuff: You can freely share it with your friends in private but don´t post a pulic link anywhere.

I have updated my first release. Scott was so kind to remove the post from the model so the bug with glass fences is gone! Also I lightend the signs a bit up so you can see better whats on them.

The signs are still in german. The file contains all seven so far released sign packs in one (= 420 animal info signs!).

Credits to Scott for edited model!

The signs are absolutely beautiful; I have no issue pretending the signs are in whatever language the zoo is set in xD

History is indeed little more than the register of the crimes, follies, and misfortunes of mankind.

Wow, the Golden-headed lion tamarin looks nice!

Second primate: Gray's bald-faced saki
Small parts of the face are from the original white-faced saki skin. I´m waiting for an answer if I can leave it.
