I worked this weekend on a sumatran surili and this is what I get.![]() The problem is that I´m not sure how to code them, as one animal or as different animals (subspecies). What I found on the web is not consistent. The one site says just variant colors of one species, a second differend subspecies and a third even every color a own species... What would you say? |

Well, first I say : WOW, excellent work. Then, since it is very difficult to know how many subspecies there is, I would go for code as one animal with color variant. If I want a specific subspecies I can alwaus pick animals with the right color variation ingame. However, if you wish to code different subspecies, I would go with the IUCN classification of 4 subspecies... but way more work for you.

Thank you. I think I will do 2 subspecies as separate animals because they fit the variants I worked on: 1. Yellow-handed Mitered Langur (Presbytis melalophos ssp. melalophos) - the three variants on the right 2. Southern Mitered Langur (Presbytis melalophos ssp. mitrata) - the pale variant on the left ![]() I also changed the colours a bit, added more detail and a texture overlay (because the first versions were a bit blurry/textureless). Now it´s better. Credits to DutchDesigns Edited by bunteriro, Oct 10 2016, 01:24 PM.

RELEASE!![]() Download Sumatran Surili Pack The subspecies are coded as separate animals. Names ingame are in english and german. They use my filters for animal family (monkey), continent (asia) and region (south east asia). Edited by bunteriro, Dec 12 2016, 05:16 PM.

Lovely Too bad my Sumatra section is already finished (and closed in by other sections), but else they would have made it definitely into my zoo.

I´m glad you like these cute little langurs.^^ There is also an old world monkey I always missed in my game (my local zoo is part in a breeding program for this rare animal and I love to watch this guys). We indeed have a version of this animal but unfortunately it is rather outdated. So I started to make a new version! Spoiler: click to toggle
