I once saw a Sciurus niger invade a bird feeder. Thing was huge, eventually it fled back into the trees, but then I heard this terrible, dreadful noise up there. I then developed dreams over this creature for a week and all were recurring nightmares.

Once at night I heard an eerie screech overhead. Some people have told me it was a barn owl, but I'm certain it was an aboreal southern Ogopogo leaving its nest for a nightly hunt. |

How about you all stop spamming the topic and respect other people stories? Even if you don't believe in them clearly they do and would like to share their experiences without being make fun of. What you are doing is not much different than mocking someone because of their religious beliefs. On the other hand, i don't know why this topic is in the paleontology section. What does cryptids have to do with extinct animals? (in general, not specific cases of cryptids that are considered extinct animals). The topic should be moved to the general discussion section. Because the Shrek one posted on the first page was totally not spam nope. I genuinely believe I heard the vocalizations of an arboreal southern Ogopogo and your assumption that my sighting was spam suggests that the only one who needs to respect other people's stories is you. The arboreal southern Ogopogo is real and I will not have you make mockery of it. Edited by Admiral General Aladeen, Feb 24 2016, 11:18 AM.

To be fair Ignacio, Admiral has a point. If you consider his spam then you must consider all claims spam due to a lack of evidence everyone of them has. That's the nature of cryptozoology. Now if people were saying they saw a deity like Mohammed or Jesus in a mocking fashion then they would be breaking the rules. If a person believed they legitimately saw Shrek then they should have as much validity as someone who believes in a 7ft hairy man ape. |

I used to think I was stalked by a gigantic chicken-sized bat while I was washing my dishes alone in the house. The thing appeared outside the window right beside me, it dropped from the roof to the ground and then disappeared. I guess it's just a cat jumping down from the roof and its shadow lying along the wall plus the fast movement of it made it looks really like a huge bat with large wingspans.... Anyway, it could also be the blood sucking, Oriental spotted ropen hunting in the night.... Edited by Mathius Tyra, Feb 24 2016, 11:37 AM.

Perhaps, Paleodude, but it doesn't take a very large portion of a brain to realise that Admiral General Aladeen, stargatedalek and Fluffs are spamming the topic to make fun, then liking each other's posts and pretending they're 'not doing anything'. It's common behaviour for them and very childish. That sort of attitude is quite pathetic in all honesty and I really hope they can see that. |

Can UFO'S count on this topic, because I've seen an UFO I was dining in the garden with my parents, then iI saw a flying object in the sky with artifical light it was to fast to be an airplane, and it produced no sound so it wasn't an helicopter. Also I saw Herobrine, no jokes it's a bug on the zombie skin, just like the pink asian elephanth in ZT2. |

Well since some people talked about ghosts before and they are not cryptids either then i don't see a problem with sharing UFOs stories either. Although, maybe this topic should be moved to the general section and its name change to "Paranormal experiences" or something like that. It sure doesn't belong in the paleo section. |

Aah yes, becaude Ignacio only ever posting to spite us isn't pathetic. Seriously he almost never posts except about us. I don't think any of our outlandish claims have presented any less evidence than anyone elses, so this is obviously just us being targeted because we're not taking this seriously. Every story I've told is 100% truth, even if the implications were misengenous. We're recounting our experiences with what could be considered paranormal (even if not by us) in a humorous and lightheaded way. We're not targeting anyone, just going about things in our own way. No one can claim we aren't using the topic as intended. If I went and made a "people who believe in ghosts are stupid" topic, then this can be brought up again. I'm still wondering why the obvious Shrek reference was okay but a serious story about the southern arboreal ogopogo was not. Shrek isn't a cryptid. You're adopting the same attitude you're telling us not to have. The only ones making fun of others' "rare sightings" are you guys. No one said we weren't doing anything. Obviously we're doing something: posting our sightings. This incident reminds me of the time in Fort Myers I saw an abnormally large Anolis sagrei. I'm certain it was mutated because of it's sheer size. I have taken to calling it the Fort Myers Monster. Not as impressive as the southern arboreal ogopogo, but still a sight to see. Speaking of abnormally large animals I saw a large Pimephales promelas at the pet store I work at. It was of the xanthic morph. Not really in the wild but it was strange. |

I believe it was probably put here because the fact they clumped in speculative evolution to the paleo section implies this is just the animal kingdom junk-heap section rather than a dedicated paleo section. |
