Every once in a while, you find a gem. No, not the shiny gem you find in the ground, more like a book about things you find in the ground. Yes, that's right, Dinosaurs! What kind of child didn't love dinos and all their awesomeness? Chances are, if you were like me, you loved 'em! So much so that my mother bought me a book on them at a yard sale. 14 Years later, and now, since we're moving out, I just happened to find said book buried in my closet. So come with me now, yes sit. I shall tell you a story of my childhood and likely yours as well. Let's look at an outdated dinosaur book! (Sorry for large images) Spoiler: click to toggle So, as you can see, this book really is a blast from the past. Is it outdated? Yes. Is it Humourous? Yes. ...Is it worth anything? No! You can purchase this book for literally 0.01 cents on Amazon(not including 3.99 shipping). Overall, something that's going to go just as it came- at a yard sale. It was a good book during my childhood, but nowadays, my reaction can be summed up by one image:

Nice. I've got a couple of books like this- I don't think they're quite as old, but the pictures are equally entertaining to look at. I should show them here at some point. You should talk to the guys over at Love in the Time of Chasmosaurs. They love stuff like this. |

My shelves are full of old dinosaur books from when I was a kid. Some have those very same drawings too. |

I might try get some pictures of an old 80's paleontology book by Alan Charig, the only problem is that it is Spanish. So I'll give you just a quote: "The biggest issue when assuming that Dinosaur were warm blooded [...] Includes the fact that we know for sure that Dinosaurs were scaly and not feathery or furry..." So imagine back two years ago when I noticed for the first time the book on my shelf I was laughing my a** off. |
